  1. When it happens just refresh or give it a minute then refresh. It happens to me too and with my typos myself, it can be a bit of a bummer 😂
  2. I'm sure that was typo, but you're on your way to remembering I hope lol. It was June 2016 @VintageComics
  3. Which is also the month CGC introduced special labels, I know because it was the first month offered and the first month I made my first submission. It was the Stan Lee label, and I had books signed by Stan with the label, at my first ever big comic con. In June 2016
  4. They stopped sealing the certification label inside the inner well when they changed to this newest outer case roughly circa early 2017? These newest cases (I call them Gen 3) initially had the "creep engine" problem, but shortly after that problem, the solution was to use the older (previous Gen 2) style inner well structure, but they needed to cut the top off it off those older wells to fit inside the latest style outer holders. The newer style holders had no room in the design for the taller, older inner well with the label at the top, because the label already had a designated area within the newest outer holder. The label AND outer holder were redesigned for 2 specific reasons: 1) to both replace the top label sticker (which always used to come off over time and annoy people) so this is why the new CGC label folds over the top of the book and is visible from outside and 2) to prevent swapping labels out between books the way some of the older inner labels used to allow. The entire design rested on the premise that the outer case was the final deterrent and that any tampering would be clearly evident. I am fairly certain that the inner well is roughly the same or similar design that has been used from the previous Gen 2 cases. Expand Thanks, man. That's consistent with my recollection about the various iterations of the slabs over the years. I was thinking it had been roughly 5 years since Gen 3 was introduced, which isn't far off from your 2017 estimate. So I guess Gen 2 and earlier slabs (from roughly around 2016/2017 and prior) should be safe from this particular scam since the label was sealed to the inner well. Just fyi clarification it was specifically June 2016
  5. I thought the "calling card" would be that the certification number would be the same? Is that the case or do I need to refresh?
  6. Amen. I thought it was good too, glad you were able to see it so soon It was a rainy day for me but figured to get out before too close to Christmas. Leaves the weekend open.
  7. I hope I wasn't the boardie who said that. I've felt that way when buying myself but Lord willing wouldn't give it as "advice!" I have books that I believe are somewhat over graded, and I think of being in the sellers position and how I'd be a respectful buyer and just pass, but as a seller I can't guarantee that I'd be offered the same courtesy or certainly not from everyone
  8. Just got back from seeing Aquaman I never saw the first, it's alright. Amen on the love for the instruments! Of course one is a little knick, the other is a shiner of a chip, still sounds well off though
  9. I just got back from seeing it. It was decent and normal flow, I didn't predict the end but in one way which might have been so obvious it wouldn't have mattered. I saw it on screen X, which is to say fun, but some of the CGI suffered and idk if it was BECAUSE of brand x
  10. .... The hulk was so recent he got it done all in one year, which made it "easier" to track. But I'm willing to guess due to the amount of volume sold, that he sent in plenty in one submission "even with the hulk 181", which would make it all just as recent.
  11. I guess it's possible gpa will have it in the future anyway. Especially if you know what books to look for, like they did with the current "proof of fraud", nothing stopping them from checking qualified and restored books for them too. Just saying. But I was busy and away and just responding where I was quoted.
  12. Those screenshots of sold, don't show the cert number, so now is the opportunity to go on eBay and do the work! If anyone is going to keep track. They're all above my pay grade anyway
  13. Also getting that info now before theyre sold again will give you pics to compare them in the future. I saved those screenshots, but eBay listings will only show them for so long. Then it is woulda woulda shoulda when they sell next and someone is left holding the bag @GDN @Iconic1s and since you liked his post, I'm sure those who can afford those books would do it. Ha I'm busy as well though so 😂
  14. Just got back from seeing Aquaman I never saw the first, it's alright. Amen on the love for the instruments!
  15. For intsance. Here is one of the suspected fraud books that sold. Look up that cert number in the verification tool on cgccomics.com. Then change the last 2 digits of the cert starting with #01 and so on to #25, and use that new Cert # to look it up in the verification tool on cgccomics.com. You'll see every book in that particular cert #'s submission, as the first 8 numbers in a submission always stay the same, only changing the last 2 numbers depending on quantity of the submission. CGC has a limit of 25 books per submission or they used too. So each fraud book that sold, which was a long list, change the fraud book cert last two digits to 01 and you'll see the 1st book in that slabs submission. Change last two to 02 enter in certification tool and so on up to changing the last 2 digits to "25" If they are recent submissions, CGC will have provided scans for those books, but we'll also have a list of the book names, certs, "variants" and so on....
  16. I see what you're saying. Even if he submits the original books he swapped out for regrading, at least we'll know which books he was trying to swap and work back from there. Amen. It would also show "the other books in those submissions" instead of just the "sold books with pics" to a give the volume of those submitted and the "submissions possibly have pics due to CGC scanning slabs now and depending on how recent." Whatever the youtubers were going to due with the "sold book pics", they can also do by looking at those pics and going from #01 to #25 as the end number to look up other books in that books submission Maybe those books in sold are from multiple submissions, so if you took each sold book cert and changed the last 2 numbers starting from 01, 02, 03, and so on up to #25 you'd see all the books that slabs submission. Just start with the sold pics certs, since that is the one you have. You might also get an extent to the volume "the submitter" was doing too
  17. Conversely or by and by... Look up the cert numbers corresponding to those individual cert numbers in the verification tool, from the base number of ########01 all the way to ########25... And you can see all the books in each submission to question them. Alternatively to also looking up the pics to see inserted books, that given his most recent submission being ones with cgc scans on the verification tool then you also might see scans of those additional submissions in CGC scans from #01-25
  18. Prayers 🙏 for my friend in Jesus, peace Jimbo! Health and love for you as you recouperate.
