  1. Nintendo Power #6 of course hosting the 1st published art of J Scott Campbell when he was a kid. People getting it signed and etc.
  2. Also gocollect.com has started following magazines, while neglecting them for a long while. Adding Nintendo Power into some of their star advertising for the new feature
  3. Also CGC grades these now, and they are thick, and as of 2023 achieving aghast for the limited available in high grade, and or, still complete with stickers! It is really the only sale that I've seen so far, so I'm not sure if a fair comparison
  4. Then there is the difference that we don't yet know in the market concerning the Sample Copy of #1 and the Regular #1. Sample has been achieving more in value? but the 9.8 sale mentioned above is for a regular? I wonder Lowly examples. Notice the "free sample copy" as oppose to "free poster inside"
  5. This one is kind of ick. with some stains, but the dollar bins still turn up low grade as of 2023
  6. Always loved the posters that were practically guaranteed for each issue, but before Wizard followed suit I assume?
  7. Taking over from this thread that marks the Nintendo Power Sales but is titled about Post TMNT, which the Nintendo Power #1 CGC 9.8 sold for 5 figures or more. Feel free to post up? Nintendo and Related COPPER It is a magazine, but so were the first of the TMNT
  8. ah cool! Just checking, because me and @Cat had a problem with loading photos recently (past 2 weeks), which we had mentioned here and I didn't know if you had seen it. No worries
  9. I'm choosing the add files button. It says whatever error, sometimes refresh works, it's happened on png files which I thought the boards was ok with, on a laptop. Haven't had a problem on phone, but the tablet will sometimes upload a scrambled pic when the file loads, I notice, remove it before submitting and retry and it always works the second time, so I figured it was the tablet.
  10. I probably wouldn't push it so much, as I know even for causal gamers it is a space commitment. I also know this time of the year there are eventually discounts around the sales of the holidays etc.
  11. There is a Dragons Lair Arcade 1 up, at the link I provided earlier or just google acrade 1 up for their site. It is fun for cheaper than an official older cabinet, for me, they are about the cost of one typical slab per month. I got mine from when I had periodically taken a break so to speak from the comic hubbub, BUB! @universal soldier 87 reviews
  12. I've had several problems with it in the past couple of weeks. I was pretty sure that I had saved the images as acceptable files, sometimes they'd load, sometimes after refresh, and etc
  13. Ya when I first got it I took those pics for relative back cover pics in the registry, ie all american men at war, and hellboy. tenatively.... If I took pics now, it IS furniture for sure! So trust your gut. I still make time to play it every once in a while, but as it is in my comics room, it is now surrounded by empty boxes and etc Except the TMNT, it gets played more often
  14. I was thinking more the red hulk from 2008. #1 has red hulk on the cover and label notation of "a" first appearance, but tmk doesn't show up till issue #2, which doesn't have a label notation? Something like that
  15. I just played a Pac Man at Costco like 6 or 7 times getting killed every time it felt like the original and stood just as tall as I remember . They wanted around 600 for it and when I went back a few days later they were all gone , I was surprised . Not that I was buying it ,just surprised they were all gone . Now i am gonna go search Ebay did I miss out on the new flip . They're called Arcade1up Arcade1Up | Officially Licensed Arcade Cabinets If it is anything like my Sams club I own a Final Fight/GhostandGoblins/1944 cabinet, along with a TMNT #1&2 countertop arcade. Arcade 1up are made well, but are about half the cost of the original old stuff. While Arcade 1up are new, some are made smaller to be cheaper, eh to make it affordable. Most importantly most cabinets come with more than one game loaded to choose from. All good but check them out! The more pricey ones are the "shooters" like the Terminator 2 Cabinet. The best part is you have infinite lives and can play all the way through in one sitting. Most have multiplayer, which is good for guests to play with!
  16. Sorry for my late response, dinner and watching the collectors call on the metv channel that also hosts svengoolie. Don't have cable so it's one of the few collector shows out there. Awesome that it worked out. I had a feeling it might have had some attachment for you other than being the highest graded, and kudos for that being true. Not a first print payday I guess, but if it puts love and excitement into a hobby that you can share with certain Pokemon collectors as well. Ahem! Well that's priceless. I too have that bond with my brother as we're seven years apart, I've optioned to eventually send all my brothers halos to CGC for grading, just haven't done it. He does have the Charizard but it is the error with the fight symbol I'm still trying to see what errors and values are more less worth it. A shared interest brought us also to comic con every year. Glad to hear that there is a bonding over what otherwise might seem simple things. A lot of our time and effort has been put in, glad to see fruit of it though!
  17. The other two I find every few years, but tough in NM as they are just paper inserts. The Stridex book even came with the letter from Stridex. You had to request a copy thru the mail. Ive seen it online, but never in person. I too have found the X-men 1 with Wolverine on the cover at the used bookstore. I didn't pick it up, it was one of those I looked up when I saw it, but it didn't light any fires I've passed on so much over the years a 3.0 Wolverine 145 Nabisco variant comes to mind, but I thought back in 2016 it was common enough to find higher. I was so new, but it happens, I still think it's cool yall can do something with them
  18. 4&3&2&1, what up? When I'm on the mic the suckers run. Well I like franks and pork and beans, always fresh and hip routines. I get it, I got it, I know it's good. The Mike's alright you wish you would! ~Beasties.
