  1. Again the paper sliding through is normal. The last picture just shows a scratched edge and nothing out of the ordinary. If picked up by two corners? So you bothered to take a pic but not with the paper over the corner nor pulled apart to show it's popped? I really think you need to buy cheap first and second edition slabs to crack open to get a feel for it. You wouldn't be able to still open the slab enough to exchange mylar sleeved books without major damage to the book. And you wouldn't be able to reseal that slab well enough to fool cgc if it were were really broke. Because they were tamper evident not tamper proof.
  2. We still have yet to see a picture of the popped corner. Again @paqart if that's all it does is being open to slide something under? That is normal. Even the newer new cases were like that but not as severe, and upon inception. You used to be able to slide paper or a torn backing board between to reduce or eliminate newton rings. I would Google a video of cracking a 2nd generation slab, as if you had cracked one open before then you'd know what it looks and feels like. I still don't doubt you but there is no photographic proof that a corner has popped. @Pitboss I forget but was the label attached to the inner mylar with these slabs? I see his label could be warped, which could be to storing conditions or in transit? I still thought the label was sealed in the mylar with the comic. All that is fact based, but to further say, I don't see you sneaking the comic out and replacing it with just "that" photographic proof of "case 'open'ness".
  3. I believe you, however that doesn't mean tampering all the same, so no worries. Just means an older case that needs reholdering, as everything else checks out.
  4. Then please define "open" all that I see is perfectly normal. If the case is cracked is a different story, but everything still looks right, and "could be" just a damaged normal case in need of reholdering. Older slabs are not sealed on the sides, and ARE sealed basically only the four post corners, and you have no picture of the corner separated. Be careful and don't pop the corner just trying to get a picture.
  5. I mainly wanted to see if it affected screenshots But my avatar being white with black Metallica print looks so ugly, which is dark mode. It shows a difference on dark mode, but not the eye comfort shield.... Idk affects some preferences I'm a little surprised they haven't mentioned registry awards coming soon I think. Lot of boredom on my part.
  6. If we want a noob moment? Lol i just discovered light modes on my tablet. I always just used contrast Some of these make my profile look awful, but the registry still looks nice in most of them. Idk 💡
  7. For comparison... I just discovered lighting features on my tablet for dimmer viewing what a difference, but makes this seem an ill comparison, I'd rather paqart have proof, but best "I" can do 😂 Strength in numbers, maybe others will chime in!
  8. That is normal for an older cases! That's the Good News! A little surprised you've never bought an older case, or more surprised I should say.
  9. Ok I thought they were great as ❤️‍🩹 well! Hesitated to post because all I could think of was trying to guess what the original Joe was ? I'm sure it's obvious to everyone but me, my guess is srgt slaughter cause he is the one that I think has suspenders? There is possibly another I can think of that has a white shirt that I can picture but don't know the name of that might also be Star Wars! Edit to say Srgt slaughter was wrestling? Joe? Both?
  10. I'd also argue but don't know for sure that sharpie on plastic could become dry and scratch or rub off from wear and tear. If the signature costs you nothing and you get a meet and greet out of it with a conversation starter, more power to you. If you wanted to then sell the slab to remove the signature sounds like toothbrush and alcohol or some other cleanser that is safe would do the trick. Other than that? Personal preference
  11. Sam and Max rule. Ya I found a f/vf at the lcs and put it back event though there was a sale. Idk if it was 1st print, but got home and did the research, called for them to hold it while I went back, but it had sold Just in case you hadn't had "one of those days" in a while this was winter this year I think
  12. When I worked at the meat market, they sold those, I had never noticed them on my own when in store How do you cook them? They looked as though they would be delicious, but not something that I could pick up at fast food either They were weird but cool.
  13. I blew this round I know now looking at a regular monitor that the honeymoon is over with "moderns", which these are not
  14. I had to google that, as I've seen them in person, but didn't know how it played older games? I had a modded X-box, but I didn't know how legal it was, so have been very put off by emulators. Just because I'm not in to it much I like the older games, but except for the "mini" Nintendo systems that came preloaded, idk. I'd love to have a color screen handheld, but trying to google it made my head hurt edit to say, emulators always seemed like another mod, but idk how true that is, nor if it is just a normal thing The steam was expensive and probably worth every penny, the way it looked, just my selection of games that I'd enjoy being small it is hard to justify the cost idk
