  1. Still kind of classy! If just to speak to Neal Adams at the con, who was mostly pushing wares and that's how come there is personalization
  2. I have this one too, but only one, and unfortunately it is personalized
  3. anyway... Not to hog bandwidth I came back to say that I can no longer find my childhood copy of TMNT NES. Idk if the closet ate it or I traded it in? Aggravating
  4. I pulled an all nighter as a kid at the landlords house being babysat for some reason, they stuck a Nintendo before me with Punch Out and I didn't sleep. They awoke to me making it to Tyson and yelling. After hours and hours (before I even owned my own Nintendo) I found Tyson predictable. Later on after getting my own Nintendo, I kept getting stuck at the soda pop guy, like abnormally in my head not even wanting to go through it all again even though there were nearby codes I still play it on Nintendo mini, and I suppose I could google codes to get past it, but Soda Pop is still my archnemesis
  5. Lol since I don't have the $$ to collect golden age at all, I wonder if my score of 28 twice will suffice me comparitivly with a 22.7 average making an honor roll, kudos @ChrispyC66 I've owned one golden age throughout my time back and never sent it in for grading haha For those inclined that criteria is different, idk But thanks for the heads up. I don't do 9.8 prescreens either (because who now has more than two thirds the cost of grading to waste if a 9.8 reject ). That said, maybe I have more time considered with moderns since I'm not 9.8 or bust! Still, thanks for the heads up, I figured I hadn't placed well enough, excuses aside.
  6. although I haven't got under 20 in a long time, if I'm now reading that right I thought it went up to 50th place then I'd be somewhere haha Carry on
  7. I might have missed one contest, hard to believe that I missed more than half of the contests to not be included in the rankings. I don't remember even missing one contest, but idk, seem to remember inquiring before.... No worries, glad there is some work put in Cool!
  8. I honestly thought it was a cigarette in her hand
  9. Upon looking at what I still have raw, cheesecake has "taken off", but the Pacific Presents Rocketeer #2 and such is still available for cheap
  10. I do feel like At least some Hughes books have started to rise in the past couple of months. Not everything, for sure, but I see upward movement on the “big” Hughes books, like Catwoman 51 and 74, Harley Quinn 1, Teen Titans 75, Zatanna 15 and 16, etc. I also think “tough” books in CGC 9.8 are climbing - Legionnaires 16 DCU variant, Sable 19, Chassis 1, Stargrazers 1, etc. I tried looking up the "DIRTY PAIR" Hughes/Stevens/PlanetComics homage cover #1, and bupkiss in rise... If it is a flash in the pan, isn't it usually all boats and really quick? I might be optimistic, but at current prices I wouldn't be able to "replace" so will still probably hold, but "who knows!?!"
  11. I agree! Of the 3 I own of the 4, Marvel Premiere was the last for me to obtain, too, so grain of salt all around!
  12. Also, I'd be curious by what you mean by would "prefer silver age?" If you mean he offers more in trade in, it could be as simple as they've been around long enough in market trends that it seems a more trusted seller.
  13. is the question ""I would rather" of the 4? Between the ages and in same value? I think this is what you're asking, but regardless it is just based on the book, as for the dealer on what sells, and which would give you a good idea on the market near you. I wonder if the market even differs based on location? I know it would in the 80's or 90's, with wizard and etc maybe not by much, or with the internet today idk either. that said, it would depend on the books between the ages that I had considered, then to my collection, and so on I own all those except number 4 the Captain Marvel Adventures, and I'd have to google why it is $tree-fiddy+ but that isn't something I've seen in the wild anyway!
  14. It is worth noting that the redemption is a newsstand, speaking of "confidence" in distribution
  15. My "opinion" only? It depends on the "reasons" for the run up, if it were movie and or media related, I'd say it wouldn't last.... If it is an artist reaching cult status to viewers or new viewers maybe, I'd look at the reason why, but if it is more nostalgia base it could end eventually too. Not that Michael Turner is in the same ballpark, although similarly for a while back in 2016 it too had a run up of variants and the like (if I remember, I was too new!), and idk that it is still the case for him rather than maybe signature series or "certain" covers. TBH I'm holding as I like the books, and Lord willing don't need to cash in, do I hope it stays this way? Maybe, as most of what I got I'm happy for, but was there more I'd have picked up? Definitely, but had the mindset to find them in the wild or otherwise cheaply to hold for a run up that would eventually come. I always figured the work stood for itself and might eventually stick with collectors, but as to this being that event? your guess is as good as mine, to get to my point
  16. Fresh and clean, this is what it reminded me of. nice frames too!
  17. I have yet to beat any gaiden. I still own it or whichever is on the Nintendo mini, and I can get to a train level. I haven't googled how far that is, I still have plenty of lives and continues left, but there i usually rage quit haha 😅 Just saying similarities 😉
