Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
ADAMANTIUM replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
It is one of the Carnage Limited labels, that's why. I'm not sure if all limited edition labels have it, but the carnage one its art flows into that area and that is why I saw this post on Facebook, and like I said Carnage but if every limited edition label is like that, it is news to me This is a different book that the one above, but with the Carnage label, you can see the same thing... not sure why it is like that -

That was pretty good! Really unrealistic as most of these were, but the last I saw was #7 and this was fun ☺️😊- 77 replies

Oh I thought your were to say that it sold for near as much, but it's just now on the chopping block! I hope results get posted.

Wow I'm curious what was affordable but then might not want to know haha. I spent $550 cash for a 9.4 Congrats though! Awesome books!

Ya I agree, but have found it helpful for quick identification, yet they are slow slow slow when it comes to a new series they add. Idk if they are trying to truly gauge the market before hand? I try to give them a benefit of the doubt. They can have a no name first or whatever noted for major and small series, but then have nothing for the runs I "run" into, it's maddening. It helps when it's all together but even bin diving, you have to be sure from other sources when you find something listed in the app. Still maddening

If those are slabs then kudos! If you mean the 41 issues you need raw? You could probably find them all for $125 after all the purchases. They're not that expensive but $20 books as opposed to the usual $5-10 depending on condition.... I mentioned them to you not to suggest them for you, but you asked what were the pricey issues, and for whatever reason those 3 are.
-
No harm no foul. I own them cause they're cool and inexpensive, but he asked. They may be a little more that the rest of the 41 issues haha. All good. If they're one and done they could be one shots and probably be more collected. I like issues like that when it's somewhat pass the norm. I'm not hyping it, though when I bought it is probably the same time you heard about them, when people were running out of keys to suggest, hence the app? 😂 But ya all good, just something I knew and like.

they're not that expensive depending on grade, and if you want to stop at 441 be my guest, past that number are some Campbell covers and no they're not variants.

The Alan Moore Appreciation Thread
ADAMANTIUM replied to Jasonmorris1000000's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
Not to my mind. I've got several favorite authors where I haven't been able to bring myself to read the last book I have by them, because then I'll be done; and a couple more where I finally did go and read it. I do it more with deceased creators, but since Moore is done with comics I would say the same logic applies. And Miracleman is a natural choice for that, given that it's a major work that was simply not easily available for decades. I don't think so, but I'm the same way with movies I own the Batman with Heath Ledger Joker on DVD, I just never had the patience to sit down and watch it ha! Other movies like that too, but they seem to be important flicks -
There are a few that are that way, but are still fun to collect. ASM#: 410, 430, 431, and then vol 2 is considered the rest of the #400's I guess because when vol 2 is over then it goes back to $500, so of vol 2 there is #30 AND a few other J. Scott Campbell covers

I laugh cause that Beverly episode was the last I've watched, a couple of months ago haha

Oh ya 🤣 I meant to type it, but was distracted. All moderns five comics and a magazine Busy days indeed, I just hope to get them back before June 23rd, or would like that, and Idk if there is hope for the magazine.... etc None of mine we're fast track just modern slow: 5 comics and 1 mag. I've estimated that even if it takes to the end of next week for sfg, tat might be good enough in the following 7 weeks, CGC hasn't updated their estimates of tat yet though.

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???
ADAMANTIUM replied to InfantTerrible's topic in Comics General
No shame in that at all. Glad you stuck to your guns, I'd be curious if it was during the past two years? As I not, you might have doubles your chances at a better offer in the future. The decline I don't think has hit that stuff as much, compared to the run ups of the past two years. No shame at all! -
