This Week In Your Plastic Crack, Action Figures and Toy Collection
ADAMANTIUM replied to Buzzetta's topic in Comics General
You know how many youtube videos you could do? I watched one with a race car track from the 80's those attached pieces went 100 square feet though water falls and lights to loopty loos and jumps, before landing in a beer pong cup It already had 100k views, I'm sure they got paid, I'm still surprised I watched the 15 minute thing -

I'm sure they did the math, if it was one foot off it would be crash city! Science! -
I’m experiencing this as well. I am not. I am not having any of the problems listed here in the thread. I AM however having however threats blocked by antivirus logged into the registry, only on my laptop. It started whill looking at other people's books, and now when I uploading via other devices to my sets, the registry in my laptop won't upload the pics. I updated everything and deep scan three days ago, so doing it again idk. @wytshus edit to say the antivirus says they're "phishing threats" and everything uploads and displays fine everywhere else.

I'm still "trying to like Peach Momoko!" It's not bad per se, just kind of like with Jae Lee, imo, a different "frame of reference for the art!" Like is this Carnage in a Jelly Fish Brain? Or a hunched over Carnage with a back that looks like a Jelly Fish and his arms are forming a mouth? I think it is pretty! AND pretty triPpY Anyway, I had some business to take care of, and brought 3 separate slabs to the LCS. They wouldn't have gone for much, modern and copper age at 7.0 or 6.5, and I was able to get half of the slabbing costs! LOL At $15 a piece in "trade in", as cash, so I got this slab, priced at $60 with no further out of pocket and only trade. The owner is a decent guy and willing to be gracious! And the Back Cover is a trip too !!

A bit of over reaction, sure as your "1st experience?" it could be discouraging. Just thought I'd post, that rest assured, this isn't a common occurrence

Thanks for your confirmation post in this week in collection! Knowing to post here now, which makes more sense... I don't want to assume, so I'll inquire, was this a more personal setting for you? I know you hit up estate sales and etc as this thread suggests and I'm wondering if you had time to peruse? I agree $500 seems like a good deal when the seller is satisfied. I'm also wondering if you had time to see the sigs before hand or placement and by whom? When he bought them one at a time, I can only imagine how long this took him over time? Or if he got sigs done in person? Still I love this story and as of late or with the "season starting up again this year and so soon?" I see it as good for you, just the feedback of having been doing diligence and then the perseverance to aquire having all parties satisfied! Thor would thusly be impressed 😁 If this isn't your first time, well then you still have taught me to one day be able to for myself! Lord willing Im sure LCS do this everyday but for me I feel it wouldn't be as often, as I'm not as prominent to acquire 😂 regardless well done. -
1st that's awesome! 2nd I won't ask cost, but would raise other questions that I'd have asked myself when purchasing... the story is awesome though! Does the condition of them warrant anything? Cgc Registry? Or just basic slabs for a collection? I'm tempted to say how much that is an instant collection, even if just Thor, given when Thor starts after journey into mystery!?! I'm in awe!

Bronze age comics that are heating up on eBay...
ADAMANTIUM replied to PeterPark's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
I remember buying a raw and posting here of the premiere 28 and getting a look. I subbed it and it came back 7.5 cgc and getting more looks Though none through the internet haha. But I sold it at hint of 1st spike, but only for like $200, but I agree with @batmiesta I could live without it even at that price. I have kept several other books that I've never sold that I liked more that have further decreased in value, and yet if I had bought the amazing fantasy 15 for 300k? And 3 to 4 months one in grade later sold for 115k, which is less than half? I'm trying to tell myself that I'd be satisfied with the book in high grade. Then I'd go to the doctor to check how long I'll live, give it 10 years of "a" will to live And if it was only a 7 or 8 year estimate idk get a brain scan. -

Awesome, and good of your friend to care enough to alleviate some burden, me having a relative who under went the same surgery there were things that help. In her case it was Animaniacs on Netflix. To your point, I too share your thoughts, as when I got a subscription to Wolverine as a kid he had just lost his adamantium, and that was a big draw for me to read!

Modern Star Wars Comics that are heating up
ADAMANTIUM replied to mr_highgrade's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I added a Deadpool backing if a DVD to my registry as a back cover pick. I looked closer at it? One of the "reviews for the movie", said "Betty white gives it four golden girls, best movies of the year!" Made me chuckle 🤭
