Is there an Aussie variant of circle chase #1? That is the book that I had signed raw by Mr. Mad. Big fan, almost the first comic I've purchased with my own money, that much I know, and yet, never got around to the whole series. It was fantastic art and story for the time. This was 80's 90's whenever in the barrio, right next to the "Tijuana bibles at the gas station." I was really too young at 8or 9, glad I picked the comic hhahhahahahahahahaahahahhahahahahahahhhahhahahahahahahah @onlyweaknesskryptonite

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???
ADAMANTIUM replied to InfantTerrible's topic in Comics General
It is amazing how niche it ALL is and to find a collector base, worth farming points out to increase interest. Not only is it like leveling up your skill to find comics, but attribute that to the growing fanfare and it is all I can do to be quiet and just watch. Sounds like it is a bit iffy, and yet people have to spend money on something. How long have certain hobbies grown just by the mindset. Too many hits in familiarity to movies, and I'm sure the burn before reading type movie plots will rend asunder to the bare minimum of what people collect. If left unchecked. It's everyone's personal attitude that comes into question to prolong loving these simple and old ideas. I like scrapping and scraping by as much as the next guy. It is totally a view point, for myself to consider. -

awesome! love that it has the classics of FF. Period. The funds are short and yet in the distance, outside looking in. These are the nice things that come with Friends Had a few of those one the way too. Glad for you, humbly. Looks good! -

I know it's amaze balls the philosophy if you wanted to get real bent out of shape, it would be easy. Still it's the hope of the hobby. Grain of salt. -

Man I sold some of the cards I had, I too I tried to like it again, but after late 80s and early 90s collecting ...oye I'm pretty burnt out. -
Post Your Favorite Copper Age Cover(s)
ADAMANTIUM replied to Jordysnordy's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
I wonder if that is like the "shadow knows" radio show? Is it redundant in writing? Or is it as neat in detective writing as it sounds. It paints an image, but I prefer more bubbly art I think it looks sleek though I've seen it often in dollar bins, and yet haven't the gratifying urge to pick it up. Not sure what I'd do with that -
Very nice. Very present. Keeping tally, some of those I can dig the covers. Is it all for collectables? And holding? Or filing away? I would love to flip That ain't easy either

"Horrid" seems a bit much. It seems like critics are split down the middle. But what I think is that the Scorcese Factor is coming into play. Critics are feeling the heat to come down on comic book movies so that they can stay "relevant" and be top of the line critics. And not to detract from the OP's question I think that after a brief slowdown I'm seeing more aggressive prices of late. And a lot of buyers seem to be looking for value right now in the form of sets and lots more so than single issues. I've thrown a couple "Lot of 50 BA War Books" or "Lot of 75 BA Horror Books" together where the average grade runs from 2.0 to 6.0 with an average of 3.0 and they're selling for around $3-$4 a book. I chose to go see something "live" and take in a show, rather than a prescreen to the Antman movie. I don't feel that I missed out, but it is killing me wondering if it weren't just as fun Time to see movies is about all me and my brother have the time to bond over, and yet, it is time for another day. I love the feedback I get here, and that is enough to suffice, I try not to sweat the small stuff. -
