Bingo #301 is what I was considering as well, I have #298 SS'd, but I think if I'm honest, I have the run starting at #298 in 9.8 except #301 is 9.6. I could discuss the grading currently at cgc as tight and I'm not sure if I want to put myself through it all. Tight fit covers are common for McFarlane on ASM I know, but I assume you already own some? I'd look at what you have and decide, but if affordability isn't a concern? You should look at the eBay listings as well. A few mislabeled star wars 35 cents cgc have sold for hundreds causing reprints to be mislabeled to sell. Kind of day I'm having discovering the rampant sadness.

@Comics563 Don't let it bother you, it is made up in volume well, these QC errors usually get corrected on CGC dime and the reason it can seem like a lot is because it is more than usual. With the amount that cgc does for encapsulation, now compared to a couple of years ago, it is in overdrive. They've done fixes and have sorted through a bunch actively, yet it can take time to build back trust and confidence. SO it's not all tears, those fomo's are true and can be successful. I didn't want to seem over the top. The color lift isn't as major a concern as other factors, but CGC will do their best, It can be a nail biter. Try the signature forum, where there are case poppers for resubmitting constantly. To that point, I've heard not near as many complaints there! Especially with color lift! Although it is something to be wary of, the Lethal protector also is a "foil" of sorts and idk how well the ink applies to it but it ain't all bad?

Depending on severity of crunch and if through the entire book, I've seen 8.5-9.2, but that color loss keeps it 8.0/8.5 on back and the other issues ..... Still I think enough of it is salvaged to warrant a VF even if it is F/VF others thoughts?

It's the scanner. Yes was thinking 7.5 best case, as press won't help, 7.0 is probably an immediate score. Idk I think the other edges look well off enough to keep it from 6.5, as surely the "ticks" wouldn't cause less than that. The scuffs bottom of spine at back put it at 8.0, but the rest of the ticks and crunch corner probably 7.0. I'm not sure that it would fall below that But I'm not sure why the scanner does that, all canon printers I've owned have done that so

I think it's rare but worth a disclaimer. If your new, new, then know not to crack the slab yourself and leave it to cgc, or it will lose its yellow label. For sure! @Comics563 I'm not sure how the disclaimer reads, but color lift from sigs prob wouldn't cause lower grades, other factors when cracking a slab might. Is or imo

The bloodstone was $7 but turned out to be the 2nd print, boy do I feel sheepish. The teen titans was $15 but might only be 7.0/7.5, still I have the cameo in 9.8 and once upon a time found of issue of #12 that I passed on because I wasn't aware it was a variant. Fool me once kind of deal.

Some are right place right time kinds of deals, basically if I can afford it There is a spread over so much, that I wonder where my head was at years ago. This particular issue? I'm kicking myself for running into the variant and seeing the issue was #12, but it didn't click that it was the variant so I passed should have could have but didn't. I get focused that I find some stuff, think I'll find more, but then I forget to actually seek out what matters. Can't always guarantee that what you'll stumble onto is your main focus kind deal!

I was probably out by the time Playstation came along, I played it but it was my brother's. That spider rings a bell, but I was again Nintendo instead of genesis. But the spider and X-men games still made an impression back then! I got the hang of tmnt a lot easier.
