  1. not to drag it out, but the example of katie sackoff posted right above the Phoenix did not have it that way, so I estimated as did you, I would think either the way the form was filled out or my example idk. I'll try to keep an eye out!
  2. I understand and agree, it's all estimates at this point with "that" slab. My point was, you were asking, "is cgc now doing this regularly?" When there were clearly other recently back examples where, "they did not!" SO NO it is not a new trend I hope, but anyone could guess why that slab had it done that way
  3. I would assume if you look at the last few examples that: if you want the character "name" also on the label, then maybe? Guy's Katie sackoff says "signed 'by' her" but doesn't list the actual character name that she wrote on the "label"..... Yet the Mystique was, so maybe by request? A follow up would be needed, as I don't remember that happening either "written on cover" with a yellow label. But as you can see all the books above came back recently idk though
  4. Good to hear. I have 2 that have been SFG since 10/20/21 mine was sfg since 10/21/21 so keep me posted!
  5. Sorry to hear about your hulk 181 qualified label purchase, I've had expensive slabs split in twain! So I understand the frustration, once more, the slab it happened to with me, I couldn't replace due to change in value. Now I look at iron fist 14 as a book I'll never own again. Welcome to the boards though, I hope you find solutions with your poll/thread
  6. @SpceWrnglr that's a tough one! I'd probably leave as is but that said do what your gut tells you, or at least show it to the seller and see what he says. There is such a thing as a "partial refund", but idk, maybe others will have a firmer opinion. I'm not sure what your ruler is supposed to show, but I do see that the cover has slid less than a quarter of an inch from the top, which can happen
  7. I expect at this point now your sub falls under the typical TATs for your tier with Grading only... So, if they are modern... 20-37 business days (it just went back and forth quickly the last couple weeks) Thanks for posting this info BTW... I just had a whole bunch of Modern CCS Lots go from "Received" to "CCS In Process" over the last 3 weeks.. sub dates ranged from November '21 (5 of them off the sub tracking tool for > 8 months) to March '22.... seems they are catching up on collecting payments after that avalanche of subs before the Jan '22 price jumps... I'm expecting my April ones will move to billing and "CCS In Process" too now anyday ... If yours was from October, I am hopeful my November ones will be done soon!! Looking forward to seeing them back on the tracking tool as "Scheduled For Grading" after being off the list for so long... I still expect that these are all economy tier? I've got books from the 21st of Oct 2021, but they weren't "ccs" or pressed at all, all still sfg.
  8. Well it was $2 a piece, but same deal I think. I meant to say idk if people were paying "top" dollar, but all of them were $24 total. I might not sell, but just be grateful and slab them at one point for my lacking walking dead set Undecided on that, but maybe, they just wouldn't hit 9,8 I don't think.... I should sell them raw, but Time and effort goes into finding them more than selling if that makes sense haha Still, I'm glad to hear about the rest! I was short on time and grabbed most of the #1's but they had some further runs that would have been affordable, but then the $2 was starting to mount to major funds after the walking dead.
  9. I have "off road" video game back covers, which I played the heck out of as a kid, but this will be my first official big foot!
  10. If I'm honest, I spotted when it 1st arrived at the used bookstore, but when I saw the condition I put it back. I did pick it up to flip through to read, but it's not enough, or I did notice a lot of white space; although, that page you posted is pretty
  11. Definitely go with bronze rather than copper, unless the copper is high grade or "unique"
  12. I'm a +1 with him, gambit is just too common , unless you don't mind that, needs a 9.8 or signature series or something to make it "unique" That leaves the other two for me, they haven't been successful promoting iron fist, but I lean toward it. Shang chi, I'm just not sure how dedicated they are. In comics iron fist has an established history, but with movies who knows? Give it a coin flip, as movies deviate a bit from actual comic --script, shang chi might be eventually liked over all.
  13. @CGC Mike@Bird championed and wrestled free his submission from the clutches of sure defeat, we need the same! This is a comic forum, but still, forgive the dramatics but it's truly ridiculous as well.
  14. we started one at the top of the signature forum, you'll find it there
  15. Been a minute for this thread. These were $2 a piece, but I'm not sure that "anyone" is paying too dollar?

  17. Not sure what I got here.... Using apps when I happened upon a big run at $2 a piece, I thought I'd try my hand, although I think the later issues aren't as sought after.?
