Comics! Comics! Comics! -
I'd say 1.8 or 2.0 @THE_BEYONDER I'll try to give an example, as I have one in similar condition in spoiler, unfortunately no back cover pic readily available, it does have a small piece out of back like yours does. I at least remember that

It only looks like 6 or 7 pages of sleeves so maybe? Idk if it was "in color", as I see some color, but idk -

Comic Cards I assume? -
I know someone mentioned, "something to the order of" what you're asking, but it is unrealistic. Comics aren't graded by only 1 person, it takes a 2 to 3 to come to a consensus on each book. Being "on vacation" doesn't mean books "don't get graded". If you're curious then call, but I'd give it more time as the ones around it are still just now moving to GEI

I honestly thought the same thing, not knowing the original artist for the promotional or items back then. I thought it might have been "left over" art from way back then or something -

I have two of those that you have left, the Thor 163 and warlock 10 but probably not in the grades desired. Something like cgc 6.0 & 9.4. I'm glad someone kept track! -
That makes more sense

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
ADAMANTIUM replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
The shake comic syndrome has seldom been mentioned, but it has, so that's worth pointing out too. Like encapsulation had hiccups upon new workers that have put golden age in magazine holders, all that was trying to fix the issues before that of, books being harmed in encapsulation that pressing could not correct. @TomDehnert -
Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???

It's for the foreseeable future. Like you when it "started" I thought like you, and I don’t want this to be taken the wrong way; as is, they are currently active in correcting mistakes, so I thought do it while I could. When prices went up cgc added a grace period for the then current members, creating a backlog, that is currently only affecting economy slow but by a year TAT. That said, I remain hopeful, as I've had limited needed corrections with the last of my stragglers. In other words I sent in a lot more than normal during the price grace period. That's the past, the now is not per se better nor worse, just the amount of books have greatly increased in volume therefore the errors too. (Seemingly mostly labels up until these posts) -

Basically It is still a work in progress with most fundamentals running as they should. Their volume went up and their margin of error did too, assuming due to volume. Prices went up, because they hired new people and expanded the facilities, so we're in the training ground phase Or something like that -

There have been rumors of something like maybe a stain or a color breaking crease from reputable people, being added to books while at cgc I myself have experienced rings still on 1 on pre 75 book and then 2 times on moderns, out of about 125 books sent since July last year. Umm those may be enough for you. On the plus side they have "hired a new qc manager that is keeping track of this thread, to whom a report is being sent each week by @CGC Mike " and the hope is to educate and minimize these mishaps. Cgc continues to approve mechanical errors at no cost to the consumer for correction, but has advertised or spoken about it more and to correct more than "rings" Not sure how long you were away but this also may be news -
What’s up w/ Tales To Astonish #1 (1979 series)?
ADAMANTIUM replied to NoMan's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Of course that was submariner #1, idk what's up with the reprint other than the 1st print is too high in value. -

It's been a long running hype, or I first noticed after Stan's passing. Seller offered, believe it or not, a 9.4 1st print ss by Stan for only like $600. I bought it, but they did not send it, claimed since his passing that it was too low, literally messaged as the reason why they didn't mail it! -
I rarely see that #608 ASM, to the point that I wasn't sure there was one 😂 I like the run of ASM and bats from about 601-620, bats more starts at about #608 ironically

Either Very Fast or Did CGC Forget to Press?
ADAMANTIUM replied to Mewie's topic in The Signature Room
There is no harm in wondering and if you feel to follow up in the ask cgc, that's fine too, but is probably what they'll sum it up as. It's good that signature series for in house signing are one flat rate for cost, cause you can send in a higher value book for the flat cost rather than the actual higher tiers such as express and standard or even walk through. Plus getting quick tats for both press and grade! That said, I do it because the press being done when not signature series but a regular submission take so long! I send some in for a house signing due just to the promised quicker turnaround. It's not the only reason but plays a part. And that said, it's why blue label regular subs were feeling neglected due to the in house signing kind of cutting the line with the quicker TAT, especially with the press. So weigh it all, but that's a little more detail. -

I sincerely doubt it was skipped. 6 weeks no press and 8 weeks press is supposed to be the max not the minimum.
