  1. https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/42-hey-buddy-can-you-spare-a-grade/ Here is a link to the spare a grade forum, I believe the limit is two threads a day. Quality scans or enough pics may give you an idea of what will grade out. There is the newbie forum too that can be used for specific questions or maybe general ideas to get started. Basically you submit books either from before 1975 or after, and then gauge the value you'd like insured while at cgc according to the value it will have once graded. Sounds complicated but is easy to grasp, once you estimate condition and age of comic. Welcome to the boards!
  2. I know you're a fan! It would have been hard to carry on public transit, so I opted out. Still, I should have thought of you, however I was a little tempted for myself 😂
  3. Glad your being able to obtain what you sought out for!
  4. Oh yeah, I have been exhausted each single day I have done. But they have been amazing. You just have to know what and where you want to go. I admire the chutzpah and drive!

  6. True and you do have that point, so I understand where you're coming from, idk why it was passed on to kubert whom isnt even marked as a "creator" Idk, maybe Jim helped with the design but kubert or collins were finalized. Not sure
  7. My Eastman comic is back from CCS and SFG at CGC now as well
  8. If it makes anyone "feel better", I've called and been polite, mine too were Oct 2021, but still SFG
  9. Amen. And I didn't mean to seem like I was knocking it. I don't travel out of town for cons, and even in town there are only certain attractions. I bring someone along and even their stuff seems to take longer than mine. If it was just me I could probably knock it out. I had prepaid for a Jay and Silent bob sig, but couldn't find who the facilitator's were quick enough before the deadline for a refund, but I ended up with a refund. Turns out the whole clerks team cancelled or postponed till next year anyway, so maybe it'll work out.
  10. Amen. More power to those who can, just I wouldn't be able to cut the mustard. For some who are from out of town though, there are not too many options I'm sure 😃
  11. At the last con I went to, they had an Alf Marvel... CGC 9.4 for $500. I was tempted up until they through a price tag on it, but a 9.4 even at fmv of $400/375 would have been too much. I wonder if it was eye candy but was fun to see, It was the only one from what I could tell.
  12. His opinion is valid too, since Jim Lee didn't "pen the issue" per se, but I also have a blue label 9.8. I "could have sent that" and Jim Lee IS a creator that in my mind justifies the 1st appearance signature might as well sketch it too He should be happy that I sent the book that was "already 'done wrong' in" by his opinion instead of another blue label can't please everyone
  13. That is so awesome, and I've long thought about getting a slabbed copy. I remember where I was and what I was doing when I read web of Spider-Man #100! Nice looking books.
  14. Fourth of July grilling coming up!
