  1. So besides the glossy interior, was the poster only supposed to be on the direct as well?
  2. Nice shape! Considering every copy I see of this looks oldish paper, I assume it's the coloring, but it might be the paper? Still good looking copy!
  3. I've never met a a thread that made me want to be more like superman! Why should thors hammer get all the destruction....
  4. good to know. If it blunts my pain in the least, I had the money to pay the competition, yet it would have been all my money, on the 1st day of the 1st con I ever attended. I just had to say nuhuh. I eventually held those comics until valuable enough to trade to the LCS for what I paid, took until this year to unload them all, and I still probably lost a few dollars. But I think of the story and how well the 2nd con and 1st big one worked out Claremont is a stubborn chap, but he has "deep thoughts" (our theme for the day, or at least a couple of hours ago) to make him a good plot writer and perhaps story teller. I feel bad that his "want to" to go on and on with Capullo was over riding what he was there to do in the first place, GREET the fans. Especially given I'm sure it happened in Australia and no certain promise of happening again soon. You Win my friend
  5. I'd say account for wind or at least wind resistance, and I think that would be "harder" between buildings, that close to the ground? Just an estimation
  6. some of these have to at least be common enough to be able to search for and find? Is that the way the cookie crumbles? I've lucked into a few that I thought, "how could this be", but of the ones I've found, it never seemed to click that there really could be more. A head scratcher for me, it's fun to hear about though! From that frame of reference, indeed.
  7. I was thinking maybe he never saw the movie Point Break? Then again, even when "I did" I thought it was "movie magic." Sometimes, it's like the movie jack arses and we need to have the warning at the beginning "don't try this at home", before we "believe"
  8. I did always wonder why the cartoon said, "faster than a locomotive, leap tall buildings in a single bound!" Kind of an odd thing to say about someone that by the time I watched, everyone knew he could fly. Kind of like watching Smallville. Maybe that is why Smallville was the way it was?
  9. ah cool! It's covered up by boxes, but it starts with Walt at the top then goes down in order, ending with Ming. I somehow ended up with all 4 comic book men photo auto's. I have extra of Ming, I believe I've give one away at least. They're like stocking stuffers, as I lucked into them I think it is awesome, as publicized as they are, that they just operate a business like any day of the week. Sure certain days were probably for cameras and or etc. but the idea is amazing, nice marketing for our hobby. Glad it was Hockey! I saw the episode where Walt gets Kevin a figure or statue of the Gretzky, and Kevin is like, "how much did you pay?" and Walt answers, "don't ask!" haha
  10. ya, there is one close to that already in production, it just says "tough as adamantium", but your right it did make me think of that
  11. ya that would be ideal, in the long run I just don't want to have it redone, but depending on cost, it might still be the better option
  12. I've had that suggested before, are there no copyright legalities for a print shop? idk if there were, only reason I hadn't, but of course I should try Do they do quality work? or ever had, seen or heard it done with success?
  13. ya my Australian mates I don't know how far in anther direction too. I'm just on a high from the past week, willing to chat, so if I over do it then next rounds on me!
  14. I was inquisitive, last I asked cgc they put my Oct economy slow no press about into end of July early August. Maybe it'll pick up. I'm not sweating anymore
  15. I've had my Claremont moment too. It was the 1st con I'd ever attended, didn't know what's up. I've gone over it before, it was a small con, the next one was my 1st big con and got Stan Lee SS'd... a much better experience. Anyway somehow me and Claremont talked about X-men the animated series and he messed up one of the sigs as he was talking. I didn't know grading, but had "heard cgc was the best", it was like literally the year a competitor was invented in like 2014-15. They didn't tell me who they were, just want to pay for witnessing and grading? I was like "yes!CGC?" they took me to be speaking more of a statement than question. I paid the witness fee thinking that was it, cause I didn't know. Got like 14 books signed by Claremont thinking no matter one sig is messed up, I got a witness to authenticate. Went over and they were like 14 books? that'll be another $455 dollars I got my witness fee refunded though. Next con, the big one with Stan Lee, earned my respect with CGC
  16. ya I feel like I've over played this con thing, but 1 - it's comic related 2- usually there are others that post in the thread, though a few did. 3- and it was meant to spark conversation about the market and or just comics, comics, comics. I try
  17. no give Shook our hand and it was like shaking a bolder. I'm only 5'8" but my brother is 6'5", the Undertaker is the wrestler and he is 6'10" I shook this rock of a hand, looked up, and just said "tall man!" foot in mouth moment, but then I forgot to smile. In my defense I had been standing around waiting for my brother to finish other photos for an hour or more, I forgot to look alive. Since I showed the 1st pic of a smile, I figure show the shirt and me looking like a dwarf, grimace and all!
