  1. We were over due for some greggy finds. Did you have s comic con? Or been building s stack?
  2. Knowing your collection, of what you've posted, be sure you have either a book in mind or idk. Maybe dont sell for the sake of it, or the sake of buying when not knowing what will present itself. I think that is curbing your enthusiasm. I have a con next week, and I myself am looking at prices knowing it will either be expensive because over priced or just the market. It seems to have cooled off perhaps on some, but I seriously doubting myself that it will translate to comic con. Lol it is ups and downs on the expectancy scale for sure! Sometimes the thrill of the hunt is not knowing what to expect?
  3. I have had a problem wanting to get out early on Wednesday or Tuesday to pick up speculation raw. I can see how the price can go up, possibly to $100's involuntarily. I'm just ribbing. But readers are encouraged, we all do it from time to time, more often than not. Still it needing to be encouraged is normal.
  4. It could be argued that "enough people read". Whether to estimate if itll be TV optioned or other, it may all be speculation of course, but I know several my age at least that read to read. I see the younger adults and kids in the LCS, so I can only assume. When I was a kid usually I was too broke to read all that i wanted, so generally forgot about it when money eventually came from week to week. Until the cah keys were handed to me But it's not all doom and gloom. So if you read you're appreciated!
  5. Definitely. That shazam is fun! Kung fu fighter belongs in the under rated thread newly started in the bronze forum That Joker can be a good read, just fun!
  6. I still feel a lot of people read today anyway, so I'm not arguing either or.
  7. Well the glossy covers of the late 90'$ may still not be collectable, but early 2000's had Spider-Man and the new X-Men, plus also ultimate Spider-Man. Ultimate I thought was like a saving grace for the comic industry, correct? So someone was reading. You say the 90's was the end, I'd say it's nowadays when everyone is again, like the 90's, after that graded variant to not read. Just my understanding
  8. ya I see it on the label now, I was on my phone earlier, just assumed Well if it is the lone 9.8 2nd print, I hope there is a 1st print, if I go that route
  9. ah so IT IS the second printing... I hesitated to mention, as I still think it is cool. With further up in the thread someone saying it came with a toy or some other merch, I thought it might be a "2nd print." Bless you for showing and looking it up, that affects my decision on what is available next week. Thanks. Not bad at a lone gun in 9.8, worth it
  10. Awesome. Awesome that they wrote in thin marker too, fairly legible too
  11. I hadn't checked in a while or since last year, looks as though 9.6 goes for nearly$400 now so I'm sure you can do your math, I think it's cool! It would be gutsy for me, but COOL!
  12. I know the regular printing in 9.8 sells for about $500 or a little over, and then tax on too. That was my understanding anyway. I'm curious the price, but you don't have to say? My con is next week too and Id be on the lookout for this too. Not in 9.8 but not raw either 😂 I'm glad you stepped up to obtain. Cause you're right not that many sales period, and I haven't noticed between lionsgate and marvel
  13. I'd add on that it might also go into the 2000's for readers, I mean Harry Potter was originally a book.... idk
  14. not that your really have to say, I guess I get your point without it, that the "end is out there", but the timing of your statement predicated on how old you are or when you die? I guess for anyone that could be tomorrow? I'm counting blessings, Praise God it hasn't got the the edge of that time, that it's not certain to be soon
  15. Everytime I see something like this it makes me think of how they have a tattoo alley at my comic con. Come to the con and get tatted up!
  16. It's one of those, that if it were copper age, I'd compare it to a darkhawk book. Truly I dont know much about the human fly, but this issue has always been attractive to me, maybe because there is a 35 vent variant that I had one day hoped to find dollar bin diving. I'd be interested to hear if ghost rider showed up!
  17. That's a good topic My Australian friend has seen me purchase from a LCS and says they price to get the full amount, which is true. I respect them cause they usually have the goods, and I can look through the volume and pic up a couple of items at least fairly priced. I've tried to say at cons that some LCS look to cover tax in the price even with cash Which is But a $300 comic in Texas will cost $325 with tax normally, yet at a con a $325 book before tax, might be priced at $375 usd. It's either optimistic or idk, they sell or must, caus its always the same
