  1. If there ARE NO NOTES< it Says, "graders notes unavailable"
  2. is the limit for cgc cert lookup FOR graders notes only to unpaid membership?
  3. anyone with a paid cgc membership account can get free graders notes on any cgc slab Been announced towards the beginning of the price changes
  4. I thought the artist who did books like this was Quah @Crops068 I'm probably not spelling it right, but looks to be competition.
  5. That's the thing, I can only assume they're thinking the graders make the notes and are last line of defense. Or that the graders can't mess up, so that the labels don't matter as much idk. Sometimes less is more, consistency is always good, and I'm trying to find the silver lining but idk
  6. surely it's not going to be green qualified label and then not say why? in the way of hulk 181 missing mvs?
  7. what's the point, in extra work to take it away? They'll have to revamp their drop down menu? ya I took it as, it'll still say, "missing mvs (marvel value stamp)" on Hulk 181 it just won't have the "incomplete" next to it, idk, what's the point? it will in the graders notes, surely they'd have to revamp their whole drop down menu for the labels to do this. Doesn't make any sense idk
  8. what I took it as: it'll still say "missing mvs", it just won't have the "incomplete" next to it, idk, save ink? paper?
  9. A screenshot, just so you know that my copy and paste didn't come out of thin air eek!
  10. all I could think of was: My Avengers #1 CGC 0.5 which is still "complete!" and signed yellow label. I mean a lot of the 0.5's are that grade because they're NOT COMPLETE, so if I was ever to part with it, that was to be my selling point.... idk seems kind of moot now
  11. The line, "you didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" Comes to mind 😂
  12. Parameters Modified for Defects Listed on CGC Labels Posted on 5/25/2022 Because CGC members now have free access to Grader Notes, not as many defects will be listed on the certification label. Based on feedback from prominent members of the collecting community, Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) is implementing a change that will reduce the number of defects that are identified on the comic book label. Traditionally, certain defects were listed on the CGC label if they were present on a certified comic book, which were also recorded in the comic book’s Grader Notes. Because CGC members now have free access to Grader Notes, this redundancy is being eliminated from the label for the presence of the following defects: Stickers Siamese pages Punch holes Staples added after manufacturing Staples removed Detachments Fully split spine Tape Significant missing parts from the cover Lamination Miscuts Puzzles or coupons filled out CGC will continue to identify on the label any significant missing pieces, pages, wraps or inserts from the interior of a comic. Each comic book’s grade will reflect all missing parts, and those missing parts will be recorded in the Grader Notes. CGC is discontinuing the use of the term “incomplete” on its label, as well as the terms “affects story” and “does not affect story” when parts are missing from the interior of a comic. The CGC label will continue to display restoration, conservation and qualifiers as we have in the past, including married parts, color copies, wrong parts, coverless comics, individual wraps and pages, multiple covers, additional inserts and unverified signatures on the cover. 13. @Kevin Boyd there should be a convention list of people set up at the show eventually. Find a facilitator that is attending and seek them out first when you get there, they may have some signings set up, or they can meet you at the front of the line for any sigs you get to "witness the sigs!" That is my understanding. @Crops068 may have more experience Best to find a facilitator first, past ones included comicsketchart.com edit: oh and welcome to the boards, I hope we can all enjoy the comic con!!
