  1. Yeah, it's like Doc;'s heading out to fight crime, and he thinks... "Hmmm, maybe I should take my Battle Axe with me?" And if Doc has an axe, then naturally Cap needs to get a sword and wrap a pile of cloth strips around his arms and feet, right? Can't go out without those thin strips of cloth. This is bad, like New Universe-level bad.
  2. Exactly, which is why I find it amusing Marvel thinks (or promotes) that by changing their X-Men funny books, this is somewhat going to force Fox's hand and make them surrender all film rights. Think about it, if this strategy actually worked, Marvel wouldn't be trashing their entire comic line.
  3. The latest in a very, very long line of ill-advised, short-sighted and extremely idiotic "revamps".
  4. I thought you might have gone back to Normal-land for a visit, but if so, it was certainly a short-lived one.
  5. I can't wait for the "MJ was really a clone/Skrull/evil twin/mind-swapped/etc." reveal - bet you never saw that coming.
  6. Sure, but don't you think "Moderns That Are Cooling Off" is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel? 99.9% of Modern Drek gets hot for 15 seconds, then dies off and is never heard from again.
  7. Comic Rule #245 - Never trust sellers when it comes around to declaring a comic "Key".
  8. In a single sentence, RMA again does his best to alienate the entire board.
  9. Does is sell at a premium? Has it always been in demand? Was the marriage celebrated in a huge sport venue? Was it reported in the media? Why in the world would these questions be relevant to a SA comic? You sound like some newbie spec-vestor who literally just fell off the turnip truck yesterday,
  10. Exactly. Price has absolutely nothing to do with the "Key" designation.
  11. How that guy is still selling is beyond me.. Makes me very curious what's required to be an overstreet price guide adviser. A picture can tell a thousand words.
  12. Captain Marvel 26 - that is a 1973 comic and War is Hell is a 1974. Even easier, CM 26 is 20-cent and WiH 9 is 25-cents. In my mind, these are not even the same character. Mistress Death is an aspect of death that clearly is feminine. The other character is not. That' just how it showed itself to Thanos.
  13. Captain Marvel 26 - that is a 1973 comic and War is Hell is a 1974. Even easier, CM 26 is 20-cent and WiH 9 is 25-cents.
  14. ... in Modern comics. That's the joke, since late-90's-2000's, Marvel Comics has been one big What If run and I am certain that writers are cribbing from the old issues. It's too close to be a massive coincidence.
  15. I actually thought that was a fun little mini-series run, and I suppose now we'll have to rate the scarcity of the various prints.
  16. Man, I don't know how many runs of Copper X-Men and X-Factor I have from lots/collections I bought, but the number's pretty freaking high. I won't have a chance to look through my books until later this summer (we're preparing for a new house move in Fall) and by that time the speculators will probably be on to other books.
  17. Sure, but this "why later versions have "$4.95, $5.95 Can" on them" argument is idiotic, as why release a comic for $4.95 USD and then a later printing for $5.95 USD, then later issue another printing with "$4.95 USD, $5.95 CAD" on the cover? It makes no sense, other than if the $5.95 on the second comic was intended to be CAD.
  18. I'm going to cash in big time on this book. I think I used all my Kirby CA's to line a bird cage.
  19. Sure, but creator ownership is not a significant part of any one age and it's been around, in one form or another, literally forever. Even Bob Kane had gross profit and licensing rights on Batman through the GA and SA (as did Kirby and Simon for CA, they just never got paid), Robert Crumb did self-publishing of his own creations in the 60's, along with many other Undergrounds, Atlas/Seaboard offered creator ownership of new characters in 1974-75, etc.
