  1. Spawn #102 newsstand sticker VGFN for some back cover foxing. (I’ll shoot and add later; cool to take pending scan). $50
  2. I’ve got a sizable stack of Spawn here that ought to help fill some runs. (No luck on that 150-low 200s range, but a lot of #’s between 50 and 100). I’ll probably do a very random copper/modern thread immediately after this; feel free to stay through both threads and combine shipping, but by separating into two threads, the Spawn-only crowd can check out if they like, and it’s more manageable than one big thread, for both me and browsers. Just PM me at end of the Spawn books if you’re sticking for the next thread. Otherwise, I’ll pm you to settle up and get your books out when I close this one, before opening the next thread.
  3. 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: Via USPS Priority is $10; stacks requiring Medium Priority Box is $17. Priority Flat Rate Legal envelopes are running $10.20 to ship now; Medium Boxes $17.05. (Canada ships at actual cost.) Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape on your dime, except no returns on graded books. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  4. Send offers! I probably won’t be offended, and if I am it’ll probably amuse you; ya can’t lose! That said, once I get out the Basil Hayden’s to make the pecan bourbon pie later, I’ll probably be even more negotiable! (And I really do want a Gold Key Magnus #1 or even at ST #115 in trade too!)
  5. Yes, there’s a subtle point in here that doesn’t get discussed enough, IMO…. There’s a difference between those who come in to the hobby not caring about anything other than potential profits and those who come into the hobby as content consumers (including the cgc-era cover collector strain of newish collector) and move over time to passion-driven investment into the more pricey corners of the hobby, whether we are talking 9.8 limited-run moderns, price variants, high-grade silver age, or OA and golden age in general, etc. I guess I’m saying what we all know in our guts; nostalgia helps sustain, a lot.
  6. Drive-by thread spoon to say great seller in the house, all the way over from Copper/Modern And to start the rumor that we traded @catrick339 to the copper/modern guys to get him! Rick in Modern, Nick in Golden, cats n dogs living in sin! End times!
  7. Open to offers here, gang! Trade ideas welcome too; throw any ideas as I’m all over the place for wants/needs….I could use a Fast Willie Jackson #2; a decent Batman #27 could clear the whole thread out, Strange Tales #115 comes to mind, LTMM’s below #20, Magnus Robot Fighter #1… No, really…a Gold Key Magnus #1
  8. I managed to squeeze a half hour out of my day today for a small local show. Maybe a dozen dealers, and you had your choice of copies of most every big silver key in various low to mid-grades (even more than one FF #1; only biggie silver I did not see was a Strange Tales #110) but literally less than a half dozen GA in the room: a couple Harvey PCH, a 7.5 later issue of Marvel Family, a nice raw Batman #57. But I used my time to close on this one:
  9. @GAFLASH’s Sunday threads are must-see board fare! Thank you!
  10. Showcase #73 from boardie @GAFLASH’s weekly sales thread (not to be missed!) thank you! I had a half hour to spend at a small local show today. Maybe a dozen dealers, walls full of most every silver and bronze Marvel key in low to mid grades (neat to see multiple FF #1’s, albeit low grade, at a tiny show) but literally less than a half dozen golden age books in the room. I focused in on bringing this one home.
  11. Four Color #62 Donald Duck in Frozen Gold. Fair; cover detached, splitting. A graded cgc 1.0 went $104 on HA in Dec. 2021. Image are still strong, vibrant on this one. $100 You’re welcome.
