  1. The following DPS featuring Youngblood is pages #22-23 from The Pact #1. Jim Valentino layouts, Walter McDaniel finishes, Matt Banning inks. (Ink over blue pencil, not blue lines). The previous owner made a folder of two mattes. The art is inserted in four triangle pockets, not affixed. On the back of the solid matte he attached the cover and interior pages of a copy of the book. The front matte has a signature and doodle (I think Remarque would be too strong a word here) from Mc Daniel (I’m told the owner got it from McDaniel). Banning signature on bottom of page 23. $1,750 shipped within U.S.
  2. Five... Simple.... 1) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread 2) Payment is Check/Money Order. I don't like e-places other than right here on these boards 3) Shipping: Boxed shipping via USPS is included within U.S. 4) Don't be listy including the little one in my head 5) Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days and get it back to me in the same shape on your dime. Kudos thread is linked under my avatar.
  3. Please! See if you think I’m right or way offbase, and let me know! I read it as: Fathom = Veronica Morningstar = Betty Vortex = Archie Monolith = Jughead (granted, with a dash of Dilton’s IQ, but Jug’s very zen personality)
  4. Take $100 off Star Wars: Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir #1 Wizard World Variant. Sketch cover; one of 500
  5. Looks like a frickin’ Christmas ham inside!
  6. No, no we’re going there, because it’s exactly the point! Stupidest scene ever, and the beginning of the overpowered version of Wolverine. I can’t bore through my stone walls with my diamond drill bit by hand. Wolverine, who does not possess superhuman strength, should not have sufficient force to do what he did. The blow should have glanced off. He heals super fast, his weapons and skeleton are unbreakable, but his flesh and muscle is ordinary. That was the appeal; very dangerous among human-level powered heroes. The power level distortion began here and I lost interest in where the character went: Another moody, broody loudmouth always telling you what a badass he is, a la Namor. Finally, after all these years, he got a reasonable depiction in World War Hulk, when he and Colossus tried to keep the Hulk from Prof. X.
  7. Anyone got a contact or work with this group? I’d like to reach them but 2 emails have gone unanswered, phones right to voice mail. Is it still active? I’d appreciate a PM from anyone active with them or who can put me in touch with someone active there. Thanks!
  8. Encouraging to read this, Mr. Bedrock. That was my guess from seeing Clark's group dinner photo, but it's good to see confirmation from someone who was there. Looks like you guys had a blast!
  9. That may be the coolest date stamp ever across the top of that Cap 109!
  10. About to lose your head to waiting his turn to lose his head
  11. Jesus H Tapdancing Christ, Jay! That Adams is frickin’ sweeeeet! Congrats!
  12. So many great cases made here! I’ll throw out one not yet raised in the thread: Pep #26. 1st Veronica, the only one of the big four Archie characters not to be introduced in Pep #22. And while most of the early Archie books don’t come up much, this one may be the least common.
  13. It appears we are re-posting our Cinderella Love #27's, so...
  14. And a couple of my favorite Karloff Frankenstein-inspired covers:
