  1. 20-book Silver Age Treasure Chest lot, starting with vol 1 #4. Grades range Fair to VG. (Vol 23 #5 has split cover) (WAS $30) NOW $20
  2. Sorry for delay; here’s a photo of it deployed against the back cover of Classic Comics #12 (1st edition) in a Mylites2, with front cover for comparison/reference.
  3. Showcase #55 is a book I've had forever; I always liked those early JSA silver age revival books. I have always thought of Flash #123 as the DC bookend to Avengers #4, the two books that brought the Golden Age forward into the Silver Age in a meaningful way, and brought the importance of continuity to the foreground. Much as they are worth, I still think they are undervalued given their groundbreaking roles. Not sure what is moving Showcase #55 at this time, myself. Maybe its just a plain ol' cool book -- that thinking drove SS#4 forever (well, and the classic low distribution claim too, at least early on).
  4. We're kidding about this, but I actually think its possible: Feige is no dummy; he has seen humor work for a tremendous subset of his franchise: Lebowski comedy Thor 3 or whatever it was called was not my cup of tea but was popular; GOTG has been fueled heavily by its comic aspects He's got Deadpool back, which was successful as a non-MCU film property with humor in the approach He knows full well FF needs a major overhaul when he brings them in; light and humorous would be the departure from Fox fails here. I could see a Thing/Torch-heavy comedic approach a la early Strange Tales. He might yet inadvertently make ST 101 a hot key! (I could be wrong, but ya heard it here first!) And my real dark horse speculation, fueled by no rumors, just my own musings? -- Amazing Adventures #1. My longshot half-baked theory is the whole Sersi/Black Knight harkens back to that mid-200's Roger Stern Avengers period, so maybe Dr Druid pops up as a secondary member in the next Avengers incarnation. This one's a stretch, but there's worse things than adding an early Marvel/late Atlas limbo book that's six months older than FF1.
  5. Same here, but for anyone who hasn't read it, its a good book
  6. I was late; hope there’s a bonus round.... Why the heck is Swamp Thing 7 still here??? Batman meets Swamp Thing, people!!
  7. That’s it for tonight; I’ve got a stack of Treasure Chest to sort into lots for this thread; but don’t wait up. Maybe also some Golden Age reprints coming up yet too. We’re winding down, but there’s a little more to come. PM’s always welcome if you’ve been eying something that’s been up but think I’m off a bit on price. Some of the oddities are hard to price. I’ve also got a Fawcett thread up in G/S/B and I may add some other Golden Age there as well later this week.
