  1. Reminds me....they should do Battle Scars as a movie; give the "origin" of the Sam Jackson Nick Fury, establish thr original via this backstory, intro Taskmaster and...above all....have a Stan cameo scene where he's joined by the "Howlers" at Nick sr.s funeral, with cameos by Sinnott and anyone else still alive who is into doing it. Also gives them a chance to tee up a younger black actor to one day take over for Jackson as Fury Jr.
  2. That's it for tonight but at least we are started. Lots more coming, probably run a few days with some each day. More Bats coming, most other titles in much better shape. This guy clearly read his Bats! (Though Supes look worn too; horror, Titans, JLA among the sharper books, mid and better.) Thx for looking!
  3. Brave and the Bold #100 Would be fine but going with good due to tear in back cover (see photo) $5
  4. SOLD! Batman #210 Neal Adams Catwoman cover. This one would be fine except someone rolled it up and put it in their back pocket at some point, so VG+. $15
  5. Reserved for...well, Yknow....it's the second post, and that's what we do around here!
  6. This is the last major leg of that all or nothing deal from mid-February where I took the "all." I'm looking at an all-DC short box, silver and bronze. There's Bats, Tecs, JLA, Teen Titans, horror, Brave and the Bold, Metal Men, Atom, Superman, New Gods, Aquaman, Flash, Blackhawk, odds and ends. Starting now with a few Bats and Tecs, lots more to photograph. No monster keys, just fun stuff. 1st in thread wins Payment: money order or check, I do not have paypal. Shipping: U.S. Priority (between $7 and $13.65 most likely) or Canada at actual cost. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt, and get them back to me on your dime in the same shape you received them. Don't be listy (This includes the little one in my head-- I reserve the right to decline to sell to anyone.)
  7. IN agreement with much of the previous 15 pages I just read through; liked the movie very much, for me behind only civil war and the 1st avengers movie. I love the classic quippy marvel humor of Spidey, but the stupidity of the Guardians is overkill. I miss starlin's original badass Drax. Also, Thor should have been roaring righteous angry the whole time; the humor doesn't fit him. Loved most everything else. A Few thoughts: Who the hell cares where Warlock is??? Where's Pip the Troll? Thanos often sows the seeds of his own defeat. We might look for some aspect of that. Cap holding up well didn't bother me. Power levels don't seem to translate directly from the comics to the movies. It's Cap, he's part of Marvel's Trinity. They need him this way. It's all good. Just a guess, but I expect a post-credit reveal scene to include the next major baddie, and though he's my least favorite Avengers villain, Kang seems like the logical, choice to me for the next phase of a post-Thanos, Avengers-centric MCU. Is the shy Hulk subplot a set-up for a coming smart Hulk? Peter David era Hulk (green or gray) is made for cinema, though the green version would make more sense against Thanos. I'm also expecting a black and white cold fish Vision. Hopefully a more effective one as well. He hasn't seemed like a major powerhouse at all thus far.
  8. Yep. DC's Avengers #4. You spared me; I hesitated because my copy is about comparable. Congrats to buyer and seller on a linchpin SA book
