  1. Traded for most of these today, plus a couple bargain box finds and a cool book at half cover
  2. MTIO 34 is a great call I had forgotten about. ASM 121 Death of CM FF191 The Last Avengers Story x-Men 137 (Though to this day I want to see a What If where the Beast has an a-ha moment and calls in his Avengers buddies and Thor, Iron Man, Cap, Wondy, the Vision et al mop the floor with the imitation Legion). And, in a good way, Avengers #4 when the cop on the street spots Cap.
  3. This needs to be slabbed "Jonestown Pedigree"!!!
  4. And if you're compiling early appearances, the Defenders take on the Squadron Sinister in #13-14. Classic bronze slugfest.
  5. Now, I'd better contribute something after my Aussie GA call-out threadjacking:
  6. Love this cover! Just stumbled across these recently; currently awaiting issue 2 in the mail, in fact. Aussie GA is new for me.
  7. I think I might have skipped that one, or it was missing both times I bought a run. (I did not collect it off the rack; I've bought it in a lot as back issues.) Thanks guys!
  8. Books You Shouldn't Have Read, and are Embarassed that You Have Read Okay, let's look at this angle as well....I'll kick us off with Avengers Forever....12 issues of waiting for something to happen, and it goes nowhere. I can't think of a Kang storyline I like, in fact, but this one took the cake. Also, I once grabbed a Love and Rockets #1 at a flea market, having heard of its importance in the history of independent comics. I couldn't get halfway through. Used it in a trade with an LCS. Most of the Beyonder appearances I have encountered were wincingly bad too.
  9. Which one was 60, again? I'm without that run once again (my latest set went in a trade for an ASM #7 recently).
  10. Agreed....Thanos-related movie hype aside, and I did love the Starlin saga, Korvac was my favorite bronze Avengers run.
  11. Close-up photo of a woman on a black cover to close-up drawing of Superman losing his mind on a yellow SOTI cover
  12. That's what I'm trying to figure out.....there's always a few, but never as many as most SA titles. I've never been able to locate a print run, and I doubt a high percentage survived. Keep watching on eBay and you'll notice the majority usually have a pronounced fold like a broadsheet newspaper. It's a cool, unique piece of comics history, and I suspect not all that common, but I cannot yet prove it.
