  1. Don't give up, crew...this thread works. I sold my coverless Adventure Comics #95 to Cmcfan, who had a cover.
  2. I think we now have every remaining copy of this book in this thread
  3. FWIW, I don't think "this is this Guy's crony shill" would be my first thought. I'd think why the heck do I have the dumb luck to want the same item as this obvious eBay noob bidder? My general assumption is sure underhandedness exists in the world but stupidity is far more common. So I wouldn't assume the bidder is your shill, just a new guy learning the ropes who also wants your book.
  4. To yet another woman in red in trouble, with a Rockford pedigree
  5. I've posted these in Gold Connections before, but let's get this thread rolling! We all post stuff again and again in multiple threads, after all. This is a recreation of his All Star Comics #35 splash. Bought it from a collector's estate. The heirs thought it was completely hand-done; I believe it is a hand-colored print. (Though there was a photo of Hasen working on it, hard to tell. I've seen another online in a gallery; he could have drawn it more than once but I lean toward hand-colored print. Lines too similar. I still love it!)
  6. I don't know what the Creep Engine is, but it's a great name for a band....I told you guys we shoulda had the new hate pressed before slabbing!
  7. Friday afternoon in the wild...(black) lightning struck 16 times
  8. Shouldn't the new hate be worth a lot more?
  9. I'd lock that up; they're rare. Even incomplete, there's a big gap between $600 and a few thou. Though I bet you can get a hundred or two off; seems if it's priced at $600 the guy doesn't know what they do go for. Last-generation spinner racks (y'know, with those white plates with heads of Archie, Superman, Spidey and Richie Rich on the top) are tough enough to find and go around $500 last time I had reason to check. Might be what he's basing his price on. Maybe try to point out some nameplates are missing and try to get a price drop, but if I could not get him to budge I'd pay the $600 and take it. But that's me. But I think price-wise you're doing well and it's probably scarcer than most of the books it ever held.
