  1. "Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the-oh. Oh dear" I think we'll add other Classy type reprint books here. Millers, WDL, Cartoon Art etc. Here's a cracker - somewhat rare - the unnumbered Spellbound Magazine from Glazgee: Detection! Combat! Peril! Funny Eyed Green Blokes at The Window! "Gis a second referendummmm..."

  3. Come on then, let's see how many we can get without cheating Post a comic cover with them on too, if you have one
  4. I found this for a measly one pound twenty five at the fair yesterday. In all my comic collecting years, I've never bought a Comic Reader. They're actually quite interesting
  5. Too good to leave behind for an Alan at the fair
  6. No! I just thought you'd had a stroke or something Ken
  7. "They told me I'd find the horn in here, but I didn't expect this!"
  8. No, it was mobbed. I'm on the train now. You'd never know the strike had happened. Catch you later Richmond. Here's my stop.
  9. Here, I'm sitting in a park in Marylebone, knackered, after three hours at the comic fair. Just bought a high grade Wyatt Earp #29 cents copy. Told the bloke I had the pence version. He told me it wasn't worth sht. Chap next to him said "I know all about them pence copies" and proceeded to waffle. It's good to know the word has spread isn't it
  10. Who is this 'New Steve' fellow? He sounds like a right tosser. Not dissimilar to the old one, really.
  11. Presumably because they would have been resized on the finished full pages when split, and would have ended up too big?
  12. They did a cracking job on extending the reflection lines, didn't they
  13. That should be a labelling mistake as ASM #100 has a NDS insert. The top of the insert is blue, so if you can see a blue line along the centre of of the top of your slabbed copy, you'll know they've messed up. My old correctly labelled copy:
  14. "Wow, one shilling is a bit much, isn't it?" "Yeah..... One what?" "Shilling" "Oh, right. I knew that" "It's clearly 6d though" "Six what?" "D" "Shouldn't that be P?" "A D is a P" "What?" "It stands for Denarius. But it's pence" "Confusing, isn't it" "But it's twelve cents...?" "Leave it, Cap"
