  1. ...one quick one as I head out the door... Two and a half grand with commission. And with writing on the cover
  2. I'm heading out now, but Kev and Neil are watching as I'm sure are others. Someone try to catch a screen shot of ASM#1 and AF#15 if you can....
  3. £11,000 - add the 26.4% and that's £13,904 for a pence copy with writing on the cover
  4. DD#1 went for £7,200 - I just missed the final screen shot - add the 26.4% and that's £9,100 for a pence copy ('verified' Stan signature)
  5. Sustenance for the big one tomorrow. Auction that is, not dump Anyway, you've gone all oblong Kev: You've actually been on a secret diet, haven't you
  6. Whereas we try to pretend we've never heard of it. Hated by all of Europe as we are, the dreaded "nul pwois" awaits us annually Of course, it doesn't help that we enter terrible songs.
  7. @Kevin.J and I (new board name?) have been watching it today, messaging each other, commenting on some of the prices. A mixed bag, with some stunning highs on the keys. Kev watched it all day and got stuck in his chair. I called an ambulance for him and hopefully they'll have him free soon so he can eat something. Tomorrow is the fun day though with the AF15 and the early Marvel runs. A big breakfast, a good rood, and we're off
  8. It's funny isn't it, how we all take it for granted that everyone follows our cultural output. There's some guy reading this in France now, probably, saying to himself "What! You've never heard of Le Juste Prix!?" Except in French, of course.
  9. Will you be watching tomorrow Gad? @gadzukes I don't think your 7.0 is under threat, but still interesting to see how it goes. https://www.andersonandgarland.com/auction/lot/lot-1124---marvel-comics/?lot=275442&so=0&st=amazing fantasy&sto=0&au=471&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=0&pp=100&pn=1&g=-1
  10. Now if you'd gone for Mastermind, and said "Your starter for ten..." we'd have been in business.
  11. Is that an American thing Gad? It's gone over me bonce.
  12. I sit here all day waiting for them. Didn't you know that?
  13. Very nice Gad, I always liked that cover. Cover months were restored to UKPVs from cover dates August/September 1965 - your book is well past that (May 1967). I rewrote my 'key dates' table a while back but didn't get around to finishing it:
  14. Cor Blimey indeed Albert. I'd even go as far as Flippin Ada. Me and Kev have been pming each other on and off all day about it. Some incredible prices. And nice to see that T&P stamps are not putting anyone off anymore. Big guns tomorrow. Batten down the hatches - we may end up with some Bloody Noras. And if the AF15 flies, a Jeptha Judge of Israel.
  15. OK, thank you. Mike, I'm logging off now but when I return later I would like to know what the policy is on CGC board members posting maliciously on other forums about other CGC board members. If CGC are not prepared to deal with members who post the most disgusting garbage and outright lies on other forums then I'll give up on all of them. I can take small people like Hector posting over at Mos Eisley as I'm not a member there. But I don't expect to see them posting freely here where I am a member. Thank you.
  16. @CGC Mike Mike, I'm tired of being told that members here are slagging me off on other forums. Can you confirm to Hector whether I am 'sucking up' to you? If I am not, can you tell me what you intend to do about members who constantly post malicious nonsense about members on other forums? How can that be right? How can Hector post this drivel freely, and then return here each time without censure? I've seen much worse than the above posted.
  17. If you've got something to say Hector, why don't you say it here? Are you a coward?
  18. What did you do with the suggestions that didn't make the cut?
  19. Yeah. I think they're peppered with genius, but you're right.
  20. Really? Deep Breath, Listen, Mummy on the Orient Express, Magician's Apprentice, Witch's Familiar, Heaven Sent, Hell Bent, Pilot, Twice Upon a Time, The Return of Doctor Mysterio.
