  1. It gets you out of the house though, doesn't it. Have fun
  2. I messaged the seller to see if they had any more two days ago, but no response. I have these two already - if the staples weren't rusty, I'd have a go, but they're there for the taking. PM me with any more news Matilda (and vice versa) - no point alerting the competition, eh.
  3. I made a half decent suggestion involving Capaldi, a terrible dream and cheese earlier. They could try that. If he chooses to, I'm sure Russell will rustle something up. Time can be rewritten, don't forget.
  4. Yes. I look forward to the day when Doctor Who returns. Another year or so of the imposters and then Who knows what might happen....
  5. I didn't watch it. Tried the first one, gave up.
  6. Somewhere good, hopefully I dread to think what you mean Ken. Is it the same wok that Chibnall used to cook the whole dogs dinner up in?
  7. Annoying isn't offensive. Racism is offensive. Repetition is annoying. Kav, have the last word if it's that important to you, with your next response. You're tearing the arse out if it, in my view, so I've nothing more to add.
  8. Exactly. I don't do it often enough for it to be a thing. I search "TWSS" and you come up 108 times. That's the difference here. At no point have I said that Mike finds it offensive. If I have, point to it. And repeating what Mike has said is not speaking for him. It's repeating what he said. He can speak from this point though if he has anything more to say over and above what he already has. I've made my views clear enough.
  9. Point to them. Point to this proliferation of doo-doo jokes that I make Kav.
  10. I didn't. I just repeated what he had already made clear in the thread.
  11. And you don't know that. He'll come and tell us if either of us are wrong, I'm sure.
  12. Whether it's many or a handful that find it annoying, Mike is one of them and he's asked for it to stop.
  13. It's the metric Mike is proposing Kav. Check with him if you're unclear. My take though - if someone says "how much is this worth", someone will say "tree fiddy" and that's the end of it. It's a scramble to see who says it first, but it's said once. But if one person posts "tree fiddy" 16 times a day, in response to every second post that they read, regardless of its appropriateness, then that's a completely different thing. And annoying to many, as this discussion is beginning to reveal.
  14. You're dragging this out unnecessarily Kav. The repetition is the issue.
  15. Shows you how bad it's got. New Who on BBC1 right now, and I'm watching a repeat of Murder She Wrote
  16. What's a franchinse, Bosco? Was that one of the gifts the three wise men brought? It is a Christmas film after all.
  17. You're welcome Oak. If I've overstepped the mark by suggesting we won't be moderated to the point of extinction, and that all that was being asked for today was for some people to show some reasonable restraint, I'm sure Mike will put me straight.
  18. And that can continue Oak, that shared comradery. We can still have the things that bind us together, our FDQs, our "That's what she saids", our "Tree fiddys" our Phil's car lot recollections and our "Whoops, my bottom's farteds". All Mike is asking is that we don't post those same things a hundred times a week.
  19. "Oh dear!" said the cat. "You do not like our game...Oh, dear. What a shame! What a shame! What a shame!"
  20. At its best, the show is just unbeatable, its possibilities endless. You can forgive all the duffers if the characters resonate, it has humour, heart and wit. The episodes that soar stay with you.
  21. That was a great story - one of the best uses of historical characters, the cleverest 'showing someone their future' set ups, and one of the most emotional scenes too. Classy.
  22. Mike, sorry, I didn't see your earlier post here which answers the question I posed above:
