  3. Vot is zis subtlety of which you spake Mr Knowmanythingsperson? And why haff you not voted for Ze Count?
  4. I agree, a bad cut. I've seen this a lot and had a few Spideys like it - top missing and much more bottom than normal! The pictures aren't the greatest but I'll take a guess at 4.0 to 4.5. It looks a little grubby, as you said. A couple of graded 5.0's sold on ebay for approx $500 recently. Not a bad book to have in any grade - good luck selling it
  5. You have a woman's arse! I'll wager that arse has never plugged the breach of a main beam in a ship a tossin' on the seven seas! Rhubarb, rhubarb...
  6. Charlton didn't like to make it easy for you Foggy - no cover numbers unless they said 'first edition' etc. There's more on that in the first few posts of the thread Cheers Fog! The red dividers match the Charlton logo
  7. I know it's an obvious one, but I used this this a lot at school: "You know, you're a classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain."
  8. Pyramids of Mars was such a good episode for a kid. The mummies are permanently etched into my memory as terrifying. Even though I've seem them since as an adult, and they're palpably not. Sutekh.....brilliant
  9. At first I thought this copy looked ropey but then I thought hang on, I know a lass who (lasso) will snap it up OK, sorry about lass who
  10. I'll keep an eye out and make sure I give an opinion Here's the thread - have a read of the rules and look at a few examples so you start off right https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/42-hey-buddy-can-you-spare-a-grade/
  11. Hello @Hordfest Some of your books have decent value but condition is king. Any chance you could post some pictures? We like to see pictures around here. Once we have an idea of grades, you can look up equivalent raws and graded copies on ebay to get an idea of whether it's worth getting any graded. For example, there are many sold copies of Marvel Spotlight #5's on ebay raw and graded. If we see a picture / scan of your copy, front and back, we can estimate its grade and look for sales examples. As a general rule, graded copies sell for more than their raw equivalents as the graded copy is 'trusted / validated'. You'll need to work out the difference in realisable prices vs the cost of grading. You could post a few examples here in the 'hey buddy can you spare a grade' forum and you'll likely get a good spread of estimates. Good luck
  12. "Excuse me love, you couldn't just move that trident a little to the left could you? It's digging right into my shoulder. Thanks"
  13. It's been noticed by one or two people, yes...
