  1. Can we see it! I'm seeing the shilling circle stamp. Faint as you say, but it's there.
  2. You did! You and three others stand proud from the other 2,283 that couldn't be bothered! Aww, shucks
  3. Four years, 2,287 views and four likes later, my first DC Journal comment finally lands! Thank you @Yorick!
  4. Definitely. The Journals have no visibility. I might have mentioned that once or seventy times.
  5. Oops, used the wrong image for #41 in the previous collage - here are two 10ds: #43 seems to have the most copies circulating:
  6. Here are three other threads with QC issues that you might want to read / raise Mike: https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/440951-newton-rings/?do=findComment&comment=12777178 Quote: "I called CGC Customer Support and spoke with Chris who said that CGC changed their policy earlier this month and is no longer accepting "Mechanical Error/Returns" for NR!" https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/521380-whats-wrong-with-these-3-pictures/ Quote: "This is not the first time CGC has dropped the ball. This is the worst. I just dont get it. For a company who claims to be the best at what they do and is the golden standard with collectors lets something like this go out the door. 3 books not 2 not 1 but 3. I just dont get it. And when you call them out on their mistakes you get "yes we will correct it just mail it back to us" They dont tell you it will take 2 to 3 months before you get it back." https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/521029-mechanical-errors/?do=findComment&comment=12784094 Quote: "So that's it for me. I have not the time, money or desire to contribute anything more to a company that just provides false assurances and continues to lower their standards while advertising excellence. It is clear the extent of the new leadership's abilities over the past year was to implement a canned customer feedback system that I am sure is being inundated with so much anger that it nullifies any ability to take action on it's information. Overworked CS reps in a thankless job scrambling to compensate for other departments so all they can do is hold firm and offer token gestures of compensation that don't even materialize (still waiting on my $100 credit after charging my card twice). That would be plenty but receiving a book back with one of the most impactful environmental factors for a collectible's condition introduced to it from the team trying to fix their own problem for the fourth time? Name a business that operates with as much disregard for its customers, its product and the planet."
  7. That OOF! is easy to miss isn't it - it looks like it's part of the curtain design:
  8. It turns out that the kindly eBay seller didn't understand my 11th page explanation, as my just arrived 25c copy of Dotland #54 does in fact have the variant indicia on the relevant wrap: Consequently, I believe the issue should now exist as a 15c variant and I've marked it accordingly on the tracking sheet: So both the September 54's are now 15cv likelys but both remain stubbornly absent, proving once again how the Universe likes a 'messing with your head' research coincidence. I have some more 15cv stuff to post here but seeing as no one at Invision or CGC wants to solve the journal visibility issues, and no one noticed I'd stopped posting in them, I won't bother! All good fun.
  9. Looking back through the files, it's hard to imagine ASM #42 will ever show up now as a 10d oblong given how long I've been looking. Still, Sgt. Fury #35 took his sweet time to pop up as a shilling so never say never. Anyway, some images gathered during the hunt which momentarily got the pulse racing... ...if only Albert still had his '10d' ledger copy....
  10. I've been saving these 'satellite' examples to the files when I see them but I haven't gotten around to adding them to the table yet Albert - here's the latest version anyway - my focus was the UKPV second hiatus issues:

  12. Very nice! There are 23 pence copies off the top of my head, EDAS. I'll post the table that I put together later when I'm on my PC.
  13. Looks like it: Grader Notes wear right center of front cover breaks color light wear all corners of cover spine stress lines to cover Nice looking 7.0, isn't it. Presents much more like an 8.0.
