Excellent observation. Doom is complex.Hatred is a major driver for his behavior.Then you look at the Mignola page submitted in this thread by Matches Malone. A tear shed by Doom. Like the subject box states D O O M is great!!!!!!

A DOOM by Dell'otto. Wow!! This artist has such a power behind the work. I love these sketch covers. I don't own any but I imagine I will get a few maybe at SDCC this year. Nino thank you for a very desirable contribution to our D O O M thread!!!

I dig this one with the colors.I think Doom brings out the best work of all artists.

Excellent Doom Cover (recreation) Dave Cockrum style made an impact on me during my youth. His work continues to impress me. As you say nothing beats "original" pages. I will however give the late great artist a standing O for this keen Doom X-Men classic.

Not so fast Book of Strange. I have to say this work by Jeff Lafferty is really well done. Very pleasing and clever the more you take it in. So glad you took the time to post this here. Thank you!

FF 116 with out question one of the best Doom FF yarns. Buscema and Sinnott are pure magic. I remember well the four panel page where Doom battles even when he has no more power-energy and only succumbs when drained to near death. The will of Doom goes beyond mortal understanding.

Oh my! I'll start with Byrne. What a superb artist! His FF run alone would be enough to crown him as a comic art legend. Your page is typical dramatic Doom FF genius. Inspired art work. That Doom panel is so money.

Triumph and torment: One of the best art/stories ever. your page is terrific.

Mignola is so unique. I don't know what was going on during his creation of Triumph ( yes on DC board:-) but it's one one of the great Doom stories ever. One of the great stories ever. The art is master class.

The Super Villain Team Ups were great!!! you have a great page here. Look at Doom a bit tattered after some explosive events. Thank you so much for posting the art!

Kind of reminiscent of Phantom of the Opera. Doom is a complex and dynamic character. Though clearly Marvels greatest Super Villain I sometimes have trouble calling him villain as you would most comic "bad guys." Emperor Doom and Triumph and torment come to mind.

I hope you can get an FF 236 page. Byrne indeed advanced the complexity of Doom's character during his shining run on FF.

What a great honor that you would share this for the first time here. This page sticks out in my mind more than most from having red 149-150 over and over again. Such a key scene from an incredible story. Congratulations on getting this one. I do know how hard they are to get, You have a wonderful piece of art and story there.
