This is something I've never understood with regard to comic book preservation. Since comics (especially the older ones) are not printed on acid-free paper, how does putting them in mylar bags protect them? The acid is already there. And yet there are SA  and even GA comics with white pages and in 9.0+ condition. What keeps the acidic paper from becoming yellow and brittle? (I've often thought it might be an interesting idea to bag comics with a pinch of baking soda to increase the pH, but I'd be afraid to experiment with my comics.)

Well, I think it is usually heat that causes the pages to become yellow/brown/brittle, not just the acid, due to improper storage in a garage/attic/etc. I would imagine the mylar is more to keep contaminants from the air away from the comic book, and also to provide an inert surface for the comic to rest against.

Nic Cage's stolen Action #1 was found in a storage unit.

And it was stolen property, which by law had to be given back to the original owner. So, I don't really think I would count that as a profitable storage unit find. I'm sure Nic Cage was happy though.

  5. Sorry, but I just don't see how Shuri (the actor playing her actually) could pull off being the Black Panther. She is just way too small and skinny to be believable as a fighter who is going to engage in hand-to-hand combat. With those stick figure arms, I doubt she could even beat the average 16 year old girl in a fight. Even Mantis looks like a real bruiser compared to Shuri.

Seeing $375 on GoCollect, and that's including the highest sale of $399, which seems a bit like an outlier. Plus, generally want to subtract 10-15% to sell around here because we don't have to pay seller fees like you do on Ebay

Here is recent data from GPA. His price is fair at $400. If you want 10-15% off, then send him a PM and ask if he will do it.

    Sep-13 $373 0778270001
    Aug-18 $432 2126992013
    Jul-25 $249 0001950003
    Jul-16 $379 2126992003
    Jun-11 $400 2080896003

    Take two nicest copies please

Given the fact that I took 2 copies of this comic many pages back, I'm a little bit offended that you want the "two nicest copies". Hahah.. just messing with ya. I'm sure you mean the 2 nicest copies left after I get my two copies.

I used team bags to avoid the sticky tape residue but yes, this is how I shipped them.

The way that you can avoid sticky tape residue on the card is you first put the card into a penny sleeve, then you insert it into the top loader with the open end of the penny sleeve facing down so that the open end is at the bottom, sealed end, of the top loader. That way, when you place a piece of tape on the open end of the top loader, it can only get tape residue on the penny sleeve, not the card itself.
