Kane Star Wars #7 cover.  I never read the comic so excuse my ignorance, but was the steroid Bugs Bunny a recurring character in the comic book?  Never seen him before.  Here's the linky: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/gil-kane-and-tony-dezuniga-star-wars-9-cover-original-art-marvel-1978-/p/7177-90001.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515

Yes.  His name is Jaxxon, and his first appearance was in Star Wars #8.  He is an obscure character, and a fan favorite.

  2. Thank you all for your replies, and thank you for the links to other topics.  SquareChaos, thank you for the link to the "New to OA Collecting Advice, Tips" topic.  It is amazing.  I am considering Bill Cole Comic Gards and Time-X-Tenders.  I am also considering purchasing a Century Archival Art Storage Box to store my collection in.  Thanks again.  You have all been very helpful.

  3. This is very frustrating.  The toploaders are perfect for durability and presentation.  I am just concerned that the artwork will be affected over the years.  Perhaps I am just being overprotective.  I am considering replacing the toploaders with E. Gerber Archives and backing boards.  I am also considering an Itoya Profolio.  Any thoughts?  Again, thank you in advance for any suggestions.

  4. Is it safe to store original comic art in toploaders?  I have several pieces of original comic art that are currently being stored in toploaders.  I have been doing some research, and toploaders do not appear to be archival and acid free.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

Reminds me of that dumb song from the 90s. Radioactive!

I thought that the Gene Simmons solo album song "Radioactive" was released back in 1978.  Oh well.  My son and I both enjoyed Eternal Con today.  I look forward to attending again next year.

As of now this is being held at the Nassau Coliseum.  After reports of a $40 price tag for parking at concerts at the "new" Nassau Coliseum I am curious what the parking price will be for this.

You can always try and park next door at the Marriot but you risk getting towed.

As of now I am skipping this show again.

I recently saw a news report about the cost of parking there.  There are a lot of people complaining about it.  I may be skipping this event as well.

  7. I am not an authority on this topic, so I prefer to list my personal favorite comic art based on my personal Mount Rushmore of comic book artists.  Batman #227 by Neal Adams, Swamp Thing #10 by Bernie Wrightson, Star Wars #1 by Howard Chaykin and The New 52 Justice League #1 by Jim Lee.

Thanks! Many of the issues were not devoted entirely to the I...Vampire story. So, some issues literally only had 5 or 6 pages for the storyline.

I'm going to reread Stoker's Dracula starting today and may actually take notes about traits of Stoker's vampires, and possibly Dracula's as he likely has powers most other vampires either don't have or only have to a lesser extent. I haven't read it in 30 years, so I've forgotten many of those details. Then I guess I'll have to reread Tomb of Dracula, watch Lost Boys, watch the Twilight series, see if I can find the Hellsing Manga and Anime series. WTH, that barely scratches the surface!

    Dracula is an incredible novel.

    Okay kids----All good questions.

Yes, I am facilitating this show and taking mail in submissions or I can hook up with you at the show.

My witness, Baltimore Lauren, will be with me as well.

I am there ALL DAY SATURDAY.   Also, for those of you concerned about the hologram stickers, those are NOT going to be an issue.

Please PM me for details, as I really don't check these threads that often.

You can also email me direct at richhenn1@gmail.com

Thank you for the reply, Rich_Henn.
