  1. You re one click away from having that under the tree with a from me to me tag on it baby
  2. Absolutely. I think this cover in particular captures the mood perfectly. He always laid out his covers with Class above all. Oozing it in fact. The tasteful presentation stands the test of time. Even though the fashion and hairstyles depicted are long in the past, the cover is still extremely elegant and dare I say relevant. The true test of art. I'd say Bill Woggon was up there too. Great stuff!
  3. Well, there they all are. Now I know why I think we are Archie soul mates I guess to dig a little deeper, I'm really struggling with 2-13, then after that they seem to be easier to find in a better grade. After issue 50 it is relatively easy to find a nice grade. Amazing collection, some upgrades since I have last seen it. I'd be curious to know which pedigrees those belonged to? Also, which issues are the 9.2 and 9.0 ?! I guess...can I...can I see em?
  4. Question for any of you that are Archie run collectors. What is your lowest acceptable grade? I have been collecting Archie the title for quite a long time. I have set myself a goal which is to fill 2-20 with a minimum of VG-, then 21-50 with a minimum of VG+, finally, 51-100 in FN-. The exceptions are issue 50, which I have a very low grade copy and am hard pressed to upgrade it at this time, and issue 53 which I settled for a VG- for the time being. I am actually having a tough time filling out some of these upgrades. I'm curious how others are approaching their collection?
  5. This needs to be on an easel with yarn lines from OP to CGC, to the garbage can. Bravo.
  6. True What if they made a new listing type that was offers only. No price, buyers just make offers?
  7. You're right. I've had this happen. I just got going there haha.
  8. I have had this happen before. It really irks me when people get pissy about an offer on something THEY allowed offers on. If you don't want to take offers, then don't use the function! EBAy should force a minimum offer acceptance amount when you select that option.
  9. I think they missed out on a million copy seller here.... Stories of a Night Club Hat-Check Girl
  10. I only started buying in the past five years. At the time a boardie friend had found a cheaper honey hole of Archie art. I rode his eBay coat tails and don't regret it. Still have the cover I originally bought, to be fair I'm likely the only person that wants it, plus more Archie that I've picked up. I'm a sucker for pages including Jughead and food. I've been meaning to get this framed for display. Any suggestions?
  11. Archie tried to settle this debate once......didn't end well.
  12. If it's for display to look at and covet, then why not have a nice looking copy that was affordable? Restored/trimmed or not, still easy on the eyes.
  13. No golden Archie but I'm certainly happy! Thanks for the good vibes today my friend let me know when I can return the favour.
  14. Well, I'm off to my local con, list in hand. Dan Parent is going to be there. I'm super excited. Might as well have a back stage pass for Motley Crue. If anyone wants to throw some positive collective forum JUJU at me finding some good treasures for the ol list, please send away. With my record I need the help! God I'm desperate. If anyone else is heading to a con and wants some positive flow, then type away haha.
  15. The wife and I crossed the border to do a little Christmas shopping and I stopped at a comic shop that I had never been to before. A very nice gentleman runs the store with whom I had a wonderful chat. Picked these two books up. Can't wait to read about slum girl!
  16. You know that Betty, she's a mean girl. Always trying to undermine Veronica. Even as little children she was mean. Enough is enough!
