thank you but I'm not wanting to sell the book... I just dont know how to grade it, I dont know how much the water damage will effect the grade. but I wont post anymore, obviously I'm new to these boards but I can honestly say I didn't expect to get responses like this telling me to read the rules before posting and such...maybe if I was A troll or maybe if I continued to post in the wrong boards and I could understand it but this is literally one of my first posts, I'm clearing not here to troll, I'm NOT HERE TRY AND SELL the book, just wanted advice and yet I'm getting replies like this...

Hoping someone would be interested in ... I've got A Comic book that I'm hoping someone here might be interested in giving me their opinion on. I've got A copy of The Incredible Hulk #271, Its IMO between an 8.0 and 8.5...But I just noticed its got some water damage at the bottom, You really have to look to see it, There is no wrinkling from the water damage. I would like to send someone here a picture of it, But the problem is, I can only send pictures through TEXTS... So my question is, is there anyone here who wouldn't mind me sending them A Text With the picture, We could exchange Numbers through Private Messages and I would guarantee not to repeat or post the number. thanks

@Tony S I got another question I've got a few other books, that are IMO High grade. But have maybe 1 or 2 small color breaks on the spine, and It seems/looks like someone has taken Markers and colored in these small breaks. again they are extremely small, probably less than 1/4 inch, and You really have to look to even notice they have been colored in. The Markers have not bled through the cover or to the interior pages could you maybe give me an example, I have an Amazing Spiderman #41, IMO Its between 7.5 to 8.0, But Its got 2 very small color breaks on the spine and someone has color toughed them with a Brown Marker, again you really have to look to notice them, but they are there...They haven't bled through to the back of the cover or interior pages how much would this type of amateur repair effect the grade, If the book is An 8.0 all around except for these 2 color breaks that have been touched with marker.... thanks

Grading Question I've Got A Green Lantern #76....Its IMO around a 7.0 to 8.0 But Its got 3 extra staples...for some reason someone added a staple at the top,middle and Bottom. The 2 original Staples are perfect... How much does Extra staples hurt the Grade? Take my Green Lantern #76, If it has the appearance of a 8.0 , how much will the extra staples drop the grade thanks to whomever replies

Okay I have no Idea how to Post pictures on this site, I've been trying for an hour, It keeps telling me to Post the complete URL but I have the pictures saved and when I open them with foxfire the URL that comes up wont let me post them here... can someone tell me how to post pictures on this site? I have 3 pictures saved in "My Pictures"...How do I get them to this site? Or I had another thought, Maybe I could send them to a poster here and you could post them....I took the pictures on my phone, I could send them to one of you through a text and then If you know how you could then post them here for me...If anyone is interested let me know thanks

What is the best way to get a large Comic book collection Appraised? I have IMO A very large collection, About 50-70 Boxes. I have about 25 boxes of Marvel and DC and those are the ones I would like Appraised. I have near complete collections of The Amazing Spider-Man,The Avengers, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and X-Men, and Pretty good sets of Green Lantern, Justice League and The Flash... I've also got about 700 Comics books of what I call "Expensive Book"...Which are basically All Rare books for what ever including 1st appearances, Origins, Deaths and so on, Basically any book that is Rare and are Key Issue, I pulled them and put them in what is now 3 Long Boxes which are about 700 Comics...Example being I pulled Amazing Spider-Man #1-20,25,28,31,39,40,41,50,90,100,101,121,122,129,135,136,149,194,238,252,265,298,299,300,361,365 again basically every Key Issue and Rare Issue I've pulled I would love to have My "Expensive Books" and My 20 or so Near complete sets of Marvel and DC appraised. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Comics books, I know what I have and even have a decent idea what they are worth...My main problem is...I AM NOT A PROFESSIOAL GRADER...and I believe I could be off my grades, not by a lot, But I have no doubt some books I graded could be off Either way up or down, I could easily be grading Books FINE that may in fact be 5.0's or maybe even off the other way and I could be under grading them. I would love to have someone appraise my Marvel and DC collections and my expensive books, I have an idea what they are worth, but I can never know for sure because I'm not confident in my Grading. I live in Indianapolis Indiana...does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on what would be the best way I could have a collection of about 25 Boxes appraised? thanks EDIT: for the half dozen or so of you asking for Pics or saying I'm lying...here are some pics- Link- comics

thanks for the reply and the threads .... So basically from what I've gathered based on the threads you provided... The Gripper Pinholes dont usually effect the grade except for like when it gets to 9.6 or 9.8? basically If You have a Fine or Very Fine Book, The Gripper Pinholes aren't going to effect the grade of the book? thanks again

I have a massive Comic collection(something like 90 Boxes), Mostly all Silver age and I just noticed something quite odd... In almost all of My Marvel Comics(Spider-Man,Hulk,Iron Man,Avengers,X-Men and FF) Alot of my Comics have 4 small holes at the bottom of the interior pages, I've looked online and from what I understand they are called "Gripper Pinholes" and are a production flaw and are extremely common. but what I can't find is if it effects the grade and value. does anyone know about this, do you know if Comics with Production Flaws and Specifically "Gripper Pinholes", does it effect the grade and value of the book thanks so much
