  1. Admittedly, I haven't kept up with this thread recently. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with dropping books off at their office. I'm traveling fairly soon and have the opportunity to drop off books. It will be an "Unlimited" tier submission, maybe half a dozen or so books. Will they still allow this?
  2. @Kramerica @jimjum12 @KCOComics @GrasshopperFF I just went to @Bookery this past Friday. Its been my favorite shop to go to for a long time. We should all get together, eat and buy some books!
  3. What a tool. The Barry guy, not you of course,
  4. I like the demon right above that looks like he just waken up from an incredibly satisfying nap.
  5. I meant to post this here: Check out this fun book, note the bottom, right hand corner...
  6. I'm searching for interiors to Marvel Mystery 51 and 56. I have some pages of each. The 51 is basically just the cover and a few wraps. I think the 51 has the cover and about half the wraps. Willing to pay handsomely. I posted in the WTB thread, figured I'd post here as well.
  7. Thank you! Seeing books like this online or at a show is definitely fun. But having your own copy regardless of condition or what has been done to it, really is something special.
  8. There really isn’t anything else like golden age, is there? It’s been wonderful flipping through the pages today.
  9. Thank you Richard. I assumed that would be the correct thing to do, but just wanted to get the opinion of the experts. The paper itself is actually quite nice. Definitely a good bit of restoration, but that’s the only way I could afford a Cap 2. I’m quite thrilled right now.
  10. My goal of being conservative in buying for 2024 lasted just over a week. Just got this book. Question: since the staples are rusted big time and there is restoration on the book, would you remove the staples? They’ve blown out the holes on most of the wraps.
  11. What's the deal with the Atlas globe? CGC notes that on Human Torch 14, it's the first time the Atlas globe is used. But on Terry Toons 17, they note "1st Atlas brand emblem and 1st Atlas globe logo (blue)". I know there were a few different versions, but what's the deal? Is it so simple that I'm missing it? I'm confused.
  12. I actually just picked that up recently. My childhood system has been long gone for decades. I had been thinking about buying one but hadn't seriously been looking. Found this one and it is super clean. No yellowing, nice Styrofoam and has all of the paperwork. So, why not. My brother-in-law owns a video game store in Florida and gives me great prices on certain games from my childhood that I've been searching for. I'm not going for an NES set or anything, but I prefer the games I'm looking for to be CIB. So, because of him, I'm able to get some really nice stuff at a super good price.
  13. Ok, here it is in all its messy glory. Still a bit of a work in progress. Here is a view from the hallway. Again, excuse the messy corner. I have a lot of recycling to take care of. To the left when you walk in.. My comics code spinner rack... Wall stuff... Paperbacks, toys, books, VHS... a bit closer view... the next bookcase overview... Indiana Jones, Michael Jordan and monsters, 3 of my favorite things... More shelves of random stuff... Gotta show some books... a few more... The keeper of the room... the old lady's side of the bookcase. She is still deciding what to display. Her specialty is GA LTMM & Porky Pig. She also likes early LT items and the occasional McDonald's store toy display... my super advanced computer setup. But that scanner?! Very nice, thanks @MrBedrock... and the last wall. Some art from friends, other things and boxes. Most of the boxes house the old lady's collection. Mostly GA and SA LT and related. Almost a full run of LTMM only missing about a half dozen issues. Yes, she has 1-5... If you have any questions about anything or want to see something up close, I'd be happy to show you. Great photography skills as you can see. Thanks for checking out my current setup.
