  1. Is this the portion you need to complete the signage on the rack?
  2. Here it is. It looks to be the top portion, as it doesn't say "Read 'em" at the bottom.
  3. Since I have been relegated to only the bedroom and comic room because of covid, maybe I will take a few proper collection pics and get this thread rolling again.
  4. Hmm. that would be wild. I will take a picture of it in the next few days.
  5. Not that it really matters much, but for the people who are following along with the Youtube crowd, StickyGoose doesn't think there is a scam.
  6. I’d like to thank @oakman29for his extremely generous array of goodies. These will definitely help me keep from going bonkers for the next several days while I’m cooped up. Thank you sir!
  7. Oak! Thank you very much my friend! I'm looking forward to opening today. The old lady is still asleep and I tested positive for Covid yesterday morning. So, we will do a facetime call from different rooms when she wakes up.
  8. Very cool! I found one of those “For Fun Comics” signs that are on your rack a little over ten years ago at a junk sale. Nice to see how it was used.
  9. My gifts arrived safely yesterday. I didn’t see a card or a name anywhere, so I’m not quite sure who it came from, but I’m looking forward to opening. Thank you!
  10. I was very fortunate this year and I am very appreciative of that. I got the opportunity to purchase some wonderful books. Here are my top 3: 3. All Select Comics 1. A classic golden age cover. The Big 3 kicking rear-end and taking names. Cap with a machine gun mowing down hate mongers is always a good thing. Torch flaming through structures and setting those scumbags ablaze. But my favorite part, Sub-Mariner tipping the bridge and sending Nazis to a watery grave. Brilliant! 2. Captain America Comics 5. Jack Kirby, Joe Simon and Stan Lee. Sheesh. What a book. Wheel of Death, Nazi mongrels and a clown with a hatchet?! What more do you need?! Now, I’m not usually one for signed books. For this one however, I quickly made an exception. Signed Joe Simon and Stan Lee. Perfect signatures, perfect placement. The green was a wonderful choice for Mr. Simon’s signature. 1. THE number one book by far, without question for me this year. THE number one book I’ve ever owned and THE undisputed champion of my collection: Captain America Comics 46 So much has already been said about this issue. The significance, the history. This book represents so much more to me than just a comic. It’s difficult to put into words but it really hits me in a different way than any other book has. I’m incredibly thankful, grateful and lucky to have this issue be the pinnacle of my collection:
  11. I was able to nail down my #1 book this year. Something I thought would never happen. I was fortunate enough to find several fun books this year. But this one is by far the most important of them all to me. Sometimes I obsess over finding a specific item. It can be exhausting and eventually take the fun out of the pursuit. I'm really happy that didn't occur this time. I took my time, made connections, worked out deals and eventually it led to the final goal. As silly as it sounds, I was able to take a breath and relax after. What a wonderful hobby this is...
