  1. A few books outside my wheelhouse but why not? I'm sure someone down the road would need them.
  2. Fantastic books everyone! I really enjoy reading the stories behind the purchases. @MrBedrock, is there a book or two that would be atop your list over most others?
  3. You never know. One of these days you might get lucky at a garage sale.
  4. Nice copy. Yeah, Suspense 3, while not only expensive, tough to locate.
  5. I finally have it. It took a lot of searching and some planning, but the quest is finished. The top 3 books on my list are: 1. Captain America 1 2. Suspense 3 3. Captain America 46 Well, for a pretty obvious reason, 1 & 2 won’t happen because of budgetary restrictions. So, #3, became #1. The book needs no introduction. It’s my favorite book. The pinnacle of collecting for me. Thank you for allowing me to showcase a personal collecting achievement. Please show your copy!
  6. I think I’m missing something here. What happened?
  7. To answer the original question: Yes! One hundred times over. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it; as a collector working within a budget, conserved or restored a lot of times is the only way I can afford to purchase certain books for my collection.
  8. We’re cut from the same cloth. Awesome book!
  9. I usually try to stay away from trimmed copies. However, lately a few books have come my way that I would never be able to afford if there was no trimming or restoration, including the issue that was number 1 on my all time want list. So, I feel super fortunate to be able to get it regardless of trimming or restoration.
