What is difference from whitman variants and the regular first printing covers.
A few quick front cover differences between the U.S. Newstand editions & the U.S. Whitman editions are...
...the UPC box is empty
...the issue number is framed in a 'diamond'
...the letter 'P' in the 'Spider-Man' title logo has a shadow effect which is not colored in blue

Does anyone ever use Command Strips to hang their art?
I have used them to hang a few framed lobby cards. I used 2 medium size strips (50 lb. capacity, ea.) for the top two corners [one strip adhered to the frame & one to the wall, four strips total per frame].
I haven't yet used them for framed original comic book art, but, I will in the future.

Do you think this was influenced by HA big boy auction coming this week?
I certainly did not bid again once outbid in the CL original art auction, because, I am 'actively' bidding on lots across the HA sessions ending soon.

Sometimes(perhaps most of the time), Seller 'A' lists a piece for sale/auction on eBay.
Buyer 'A' purchases the piece & then 'flips' the piece to Seller 'B'.
Seller 'B' posts the piece for sale on their website with an increased asking price.
[This basic sequence takes place in both 'private' sales & across various 'public' auction sites.]
