    Thanks Cat! I figured if I was going to go big on a classic cover Schomburg it should be this one. Of course, the others were multiples of this cost so that figured into the calculations a bit too.

    On the strength of the Pedigree, its Mile High all the way. On the strength of the story, yeah, Promise to me has a better back story than Mile High. I told each back story to my slightly interested sister-in-law and she teared up at the Promise story; she got pissed off at the Edgar Church story. It is not an uplifting story. Sad artist with disinterested kids who throw out a good selection of his collection before selling it for bottom dollar. Happy retirement home. Yeah, blech.

    Interesting. Somehow the fact that Allentown had some small runs escaped me. Maybe I did confuse the Denver and Allentown.

    He may have done part but i think the background, at the least, is Schomburg. I can see the argument on the way the Japanese are drawn being not Schomburg but everything else practically screams it to me. Right down to that funky phallus in the upper right corner. Still, I am not an artist so if you insist I am wrong, then I will gracefully yield.
