  1. Same here. I was debating and debating now I'm really glad I missed out.
  2. I had never seen it before too. The shocker was I bought it from Mile High Comics in Denver! $45. Don't know if that is a good price but given Chuck's philosophy on rarity and price I am surprised he didn't have it priced at a few hundred dollars. They also had knock dead beautiful copies of All Select Comics #11 and Daring Comics #12. $6,000 apiece. Somewhere between FN/VF and VF+.
  3. I find it interesting that this I.W. reprint has a different cover than the Magazine Enterprises #1. Where did the original art come from if I.W. was publishing from plates purchased at "going out of business" auctions?
  4. Picked this up from Metro's Christmas sale and it arrived today? Is it just me or is Metro's shipping getting slower?
  5. From Xela back to the same Schomburg aliens? (Why do they kidnap women one time and Bucky the next?)
  6. This is a great idea, Marty. Whether you decide to sell your collection when the time comes or if they are destined for your sons, or other relatives, I am certain that your notation on each would just add to the emotional value. One of the reasons I love collecting Golden Age comics is to get the feel of life and humor of the time. Your recollection related to each book would be an amazing read.
  7. guy wearing Hitler mustache to Hitler wearing guy's mustache
  8. Did you ever call CGC to find out if it had been downgraded due to the stamp? I would bet they would listen to an appeal.
  9. Time to change your passwords! A brand new data dump comprised of over 1,000,000,000 (yep that billion with a B) unique email addresses and passwords is floating around the interwebs. Combine that with previous year's dumps and there are now sources for over 3,000,000,000 (yep , again, that's billion with a B) unique username and passwords. Looking through the latest list of supposed sources for these username and passwords I only found one that I recognized as being related to our lovely little hobby: pedigreecomics.com. It looks like someone snagged a plain text copy of their new customer signup database. So, if you use or reuse your password that you used on pedigree's site it would behoove you to CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS everywhere you used it or something similar. For those of a doubting mind, please check these links for info and to see if your lovely email address or username shows up in any known lists. 10. For some reason this always reminds me of Ronald Reagan.
  11. That sucks on a monumental level. Fingers crossed he gets them back.
