Is anyone else getting flooded with JSC emails? Since the beginning of July, I've received 11 emails. He's put out more emails than covers (and that's saying something).
Just received two back to back.

couldnt find any of these in the wild and ebay only has like 5 listed all 100+ already for nm+. this but be seriously short printed
Ratio variant, 1:50. Not sure if many retailers wanted 50 regular copies with a $5.99 cover price possibly sitting on the shelves even if they could sell this variant for a Benjamin. A friend of mine who owns a shop was chatting with me about this a month ago when he was doing his final order cutoff.

Heh. "If" being the operative word.
IH #180 features Wolverine in one panel, while #182 features the character in several panels on the first page only. I don't rate either issue but neither is cheap.
It is all perception.
Well this is the modern age thread so we're not talking IH #180.

Do you guys own both the cameo and first full appearance to be sure?
That's what I usually do. I don't believe in shunning one comic over another if both are easy to acquire.

Thinking of picking up a series to read - it has been a VERY long time since I have read as opposed to collected (I collect SA and BA keys) - so I am wondering if the 2016-2018 Thanos run (this one: https://www.marvel.com/comics/series/22653/thanos_2016_-_2018) is any good?
Is it available in a graphic novel yet - I see some Thanos Graphic Novels out there - but not sure which ones contain this run.
Also, was this the extent of the run #1-18 (i assume it is not ongoing?)
Thanks in advance for the opinions.
There is one annual that goes along with the run and you are correct, it's not ongoing.

Please don't remind me.
I sold my 174s for $15 each and my 175s for around $30 to 40 I think.
Similar story here. Sold the pair for $50.
Which is good money just not the ludicrous, filthy lucre sellers are getting for the pair now.

I would focus on the kickstarter for Wailing Blade rather than the regular book. My
Yeah, I took that in consideration after talking to one of the LCS retailers. He didn't order any Wailing Blades because not one person set up a subscription for it. I did the kickstarter thing with White Widow. I'm not a fan of the process but it seems to be the trend now.

Midtown still has them as of this moment. I'm thinking about grabbing another one myself.
I'm not surprised that a big online retailer like Midtown has it. It just concerns me as a collector that the brick-n-mortar stores I frequent didn't have a single copy. If it wasn't for the FB post I wouldn't have known this title existed. I feel like I am missing out and they are holding back on ordering many independent titles I would possibly enjoy reading. Another title that I missed out on initially was Knights of the Golden Sun. One shop started carrying it after I added it to my pull list but it was on issue #4 by then.

pump it pump it UP
No one is pumping anything. I only have the copies I bought off of Ebay. I never even saw a solicitation for the title. I picked up on the title from some guys weekly Wednesday NCBD report on FB. That's when I realized none of my shops carried the title.

Wailing Blade #1 (Comixtribe) wasn't on the shelves of any of the LCS I frequent. Ended up picking up a Day and Night set off the bay. Anyone else have to buy this issue online?

Question for folks... this is the first time I have ever posted in Copper/modern (my usual thing is silver and bronze).
Didn't get a bite on any of these books. I'd love some feedback: were these books priced too high, under-graded, or just too common/undesirable?
Let me know... always want to learn more.

I don't know about that. 4 printings sold out years before a movie announcement. The Jane Thor/ Odinson story arc was fully developed leading to their new incarnations of Valkyrie and King Thor. I think fans like Dr. Jane Forster even if a few had a problem with a female being Thor. It's hard to completely judge how well a character is received by comic forums and social media which are just a microcosm of comic collectors.
Thor (2014) #1 is significant regardless if it is a first appearance or not. In this issue Mjolnir chose a female to be worthy of being Thor when it rejected Odinson, Odin and everyone else. She becomes Thor in #1 (2014). In Thor:God of Thunder #25 we see the granddaughters of King Thor open up a chained book that recounts a story of a time in the past when there was need for a new Thor. It doesn't identify who the female Thor character is in the two images in that issue. Readers now know, retrospectively, that in TGOT #25 and Thor #1 2014 it's Dr. Jane Foster but it was not revealed when these issues were released. It's a flashback for King Thor's granddaughters but a foreshadow for readers. TGOT #25 is more of a preview of a new female Thor to come. Thor #1 2014 is when a new female Thor actually appears in continuity in cameo(in shadows) and on the cover. Thor 2014 #2 would be the first full appearance of the female Thor. Thor 2014 #8 is the issue where the new Thor is revealed to be Dr. Jane Foster. This issue would be more relevant to movie speculation in my opinion. There are other significant events besides first appearances that readers and fans like to collect. How much they want to pay for these issues that's for the market to decide.
