  1. If he's smart he's calling MCS or Heritage to see if they have any openings. Hollering "Feet don't fail me now" as he disappears with a puff of smoke.
  2. Same here; CVE-2021-44228 (log4j vulnerability) was not a great way to end an already bad 2021!
  3. Just checked my spreadsheet. I have 902 CGC slabs of which 414 are self-submitted. So no I don't want to see them fail
  4. Yep that's called "getting ahead of a problem". Their inaction fueled by stinginess was and continues to not be smart. Before this is said and done the CGC name could be tainted beyond repair. Thus impeding the latter part of Blackstone's Pump and Dump. Certain Execs right now who have outside offers on the table are probably making phone calls in prep for a hasty skedaddle.
  5. Xylene (C8H10) is a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Exposure to xylene can irritate the eyes, nose, skin, and throat. Xylene can also cause headaches, dizziness, confusion, loss of muscle coordination, and in high doses, death
  6. agreed, but Blackstone certainly ain't likely to spend a dime to fix things. Exec's might take bonus hits and they ain't having none of that. The only way out is to skedaddle...
  7. Blackstone loathes spending money. They believe themselves entitled to collect huge profits with their sole expenditures being their initial investment outlay and bare minimum austerity to keep the "lights on". If the profits start to drop from a river to a stream or brook, they will sell CGC - assuming their inaction has not totally tainted the name by then...? Get ready for another day with nary a statement from Blackstone/CGC!
  8. better only be a little bit and don't spill the bottle on yourself ! Xylene (C8H10) is a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Exposure to xylene can irritate the eyes, nose, skin, and throat. Xylene can also cause headaches, dizziness, confusion, loss of muscle coordination, and in high doses, death
  9. I wonder how many who participated in those threads actually have what they think or though they had? The goings on with those books coupled with the sinking Comic Book market has certainly eliminated the dopamine hit-fest those threads once were. Certainly plausible now we'll see sub-2019 FMV breaches on both those books in 9.8. I also wonder if 1st gen slabs 9.6 & 9.8's of those and the other now "tainted" books will jump as a result. 1st gen slab era ended in mid 2003. 3 or so years prior to any currently discovered activity by the scammer(s)
  10. It might but possible not enough to increase the grade? Me personally, i would not do it Looks like you have 3.5/4.0 depending on graders mood.
  11. ASM 194 is one of the mainstay books in the now growing viral scandal. FMV hits already for many different higher population higher value comics that are now suspect.
  12. Then I'm now wrong about "no comments" but not about "no statement" at least not yet. Will be glad to be wrong if it leads to good!
  13. Seemingly all who shoplift Comics at cons are 60+ year OLD White dude's who subside strictly on Fast Food thus not much of a challenge.
  14. If you are using Chrome; https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-get-around-chromes-save-as-webp-image-format-issue/
  15. #1 seem questionable as it offer no explanation for cert numbers. Unless you are stating there are now multiple Hulk 181's for example, with same cert numbers? if that was the case by now an example or 10 would have been caught and displayed here or Social media. #3 while certainly in conspiracy range is only one that explains everything found. Then again a hallmark of any good conspiracy is something that with a causal glance explains everything on the surface that the observer desires to see...
  16. Fair point. More of Fish in Barrel statements on my part. We have apologists here who insisted there would be a response prior to Christmas weekend Apologists will now probably insist CGC will respond before New Years weekend - well those folks can keep clutching; CGC will not respond this week, nor next week, nor next month, nor 1st quarter 2024... The only way CGC/Blackstone makes a statement, or even begins an investigation, is if the flow of submissions sublimates downward. Even then Blackstone may still simply sell CGC once certain profit thresholds are negatively breached and execs begin to fear their large bonus' might be impacted by even a dime. Therefore entirely plausible as long as Blackstone owns CGC nothing will be said or done. Remember folks Blackstone's ownership (via sum of their actions) is a somewhat textbook pump and dump.
  17. Prediction for Today Dec 26, 2023: NO Statement from CGC! No Actions by CGC Today! Prediction for Remainder of week, Dec 27,28 and 29 2023: NO Statement from CGC! No Actions by CGC! CGC will continue to be sent and receive submissions unabated and those Benji's will keeps rollin' in. So why would they ever say anything... Thus far all my predication's in this matter have been 100% correct
  18. The more I think about this situation the more I feel CGC missed or ignored every single Distant Early Warning, and we all new see the tip of the iceberg.
  19. At this juncture probably safer to assume not legit. Sadly this type of thing is one of those CGC was formed to prevent. Or so I recall from around 2000
  20. I meesed up , yes Dark Mansions is correct. Super Jr very difficult. I got lucky...
  21. Seller has poor feed back and book at best is 9.4 - given that seems like they did rather well. IMHO who purchased it at $1175 needs to learn the hobby better.
