  1. Still not noted in PSA's DB, even though the admission and proof thereof are USA Public Record from the Maestro's conviction since 2015. https://www.psacard.com/cert/0000001 https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndil/pr/former-owner-mastro-auctions-sentenced-20-months-federal-prison-shill-bidding-scam
  2. Photo images taken by CGC should be a preventative mechanism for swapping BUT they have only been adding them to public Certification's DB since this summer and with the near blinding brightness levels of the pics I feel they are essentially useless. Meaning the level of brightness obscures much detail and fine detail.
  3. Given the very fluid and constantly new breaking events detailed in; Those that paid 5k, 10k or more for any ASM 300 version may not have what they think they have Coupled with the depressed Comic Book Market there is no sugar coating that its highly plausible ASM300 will drop below 2019 FMV's, perhaps even below 2017-18 levels. Especially 9.8's Newsstands + Mark Jewelers in 3rd (current) Gen slabs. As of this writing no 2nd gen CGC slabs are known to be affected, however as mentioned the situation is highly fluid with more and more being uncovered every couple of hours. It's possible when all is said and done only 1st gen slabs may be unaffected? Hope though is very much alive that ZERO evidence will be found for non 3rd gen slabs! Given current events any residual Dopamine rush for Comic's like ASM 194,238,252,300 especially in 9.8 is now gone. P.S. At least on ASM300, but not on Hulk 181 due to MVS, those in the "Buy the Book, Not the Label" crowd (like me) likely were not stung.
  4. I do agree with the documentation aspect however from logic perspective faking the paperwork is a simple matter. Without being about verify details against a known Database not sure it really will prove anything. My ASM300 for example is a first gen slab paper submission from 2002 and never was in CGC's on-line database. But yep agree hold on to any paperwork it won't hurt!
  5. Patience my friend! IMHO the 3 issues you mentioned are going to sink below 2019 FMV or possibly below 2017 FMV's. My guess is that will occur sometime between Jan~April 2024 BTW folks I have all 3 of those books, all mine were self submitted, glad I don't sell comics, but sad that if I ever do probably will only be able to get fraction of the value they possessed at start of this month. Glad though all my DC Digests appear safe
  6. They could have performed damage control/containment they did not all in the interest of saving a few $'s. The situation is fluid and may very well sublimate to the point its picked up by mainstream news outlets with sensational headlines as Steven Valdez mentioned a few posts above. When that happens their inaction due to miser level stinginess may cost them dearly.
  7. So folks will send back their 9.8 labels to get 6.5 Green Labels. Given the morals and ethics of most Comic Book Dealers, Sellers, Speculators, Flippers I don't foresee that occurring in anything but the tiniest numbers unless there is full FMV remuneration involved. Ain't gonna happen as Blackstone will not pay out a cent.
  8. If he's smart he's calling MCS or Heritage to see if they have any openings. Hollering "Feet don't fail me now" as he disappears with a puff of smoke.
  9. Same here; CVE-2021-44228 (log4j vulnerability) was not a great way to end an already bad 2021!
  10. Just checked my spreadsheet. I have 902 CGC slabs of which 414 are self-submitted. So no I don't want to see them fail
  11. Yep that's called "getting ahead of a problem". Their inaction fueled by stinginess was and continues to not be smart. Before this is said and done the CGC name could be tainted beyond repair. Thus impeding the latter part of Blackstone's Pump and Dump. Certain Execs right now who have outside offers on the table are probably making phone calls in prep for a hasty skedaddle.
  12. Xylene (C8H10) is a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Exposure to xylene can irritate the eyes, nose, skin, and throat. Xylene can also cause headaches, dizziness, confusion, loss of muscle coordination, and in high doses, death
  13. agreed, but Blackstone certainly ain't likely to spend a dime to fix things. Exec's might take bonus hits and they ain't having none of that. The only way out is to skedaddle...
  14. Blackstone loathes spending money. They believe themselves entitled to collect huge profits with their sole expenditures being their initial investment outlay and bare minimum austerity to keep the "lights on". If the profits start to drop from a river to a stream or brook, they will sell CGC - assuming their inaction has not totally tainted the name by then...? Get ready for another day with nary a statement from Blackstone/CGC!
  15. better only be a little bit and don't spill the bottle on yourself ! Xylene (C8H10) is a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Exposure to xylene can irritate the eyes, nose, skin, and throat. Xylene can also cause headaches, dizziness, confusion, loss of muscle coordination, and in high doses, death
  16. I wonder how many who participated in those threads actually have what they think or though they had? The goings on with those books coupled with the sinking Comic Book market has certainly eliminated the dopamine hit-fest those threads once were. Certainly plausible now we'll see sub-2019 FMV breaches on both those books in 9.8. I also wonder if 1st gen slabs 9.6 & 9.8's of those and the other now "tainted" books will jump as a result. 1st gen slab era ended in mid 2003. 3 or so years prior to any currently discovered activity by the scammer(s)
  17. It might but possible not enough to increase the grade? Me personally, i would not do it Looks like you have 3.5/4.0 depending on graders mood.
  18. ASM 194 is one of the mainstay books in the now growing viral scandal. FMV hits already for many different higher population higher value comics that are now suspect.
  19. Then I'm now wrong about "no comments" but not about "no statement" at least not yet. Will be glad to be wrong if it leads to good!
  20. Seemingly all who shoplift Comics at cons are 60+ year OLD White dude's who subside strictly on Fast Food thus not much of a challenge.
