  1. I don't think when the time comes that story will pass muster with St. Peter. Take the tiniest bit of solace in that you now have closure
  2. I am truly honored and humbled, and a bit choked up to have had my Custom set selected. I never would have even hazardered a guess that anyone but me even had viewed it. Not sure whom to thank, but Thank You! P.S. Congrats to all the 2024 winners
  3. Hi, Was told 2-3 days it's now 9 (10 by time you read this) Case/Ticket/Issue # = 503320 Thanks
  4. Of course no way to know how this all plays out but PSA, due to widespead name recognition in collectible grading, will present a significant larger challenge than CBCS. To casually dismiss them will be a huge mistake by CGC. * Especially as CGC slab issue may allow PSA to get a foot in the door. *unless of course PSA starts playing the grade determined by how much yearly biz the submitter does with them game in order to maintain consistent census averages - as they have done with cards since early 2022
  5. seems I need to move my cut-off date back as well as check out my Oct 2023 self submitted Silver Age order
  6. ^ what you have mentioned is correct but not applicable. This is a case where 2 parties entered into a business agreement. One party made a legitimate error.
  7. I've now looked at over 500 of my slabs. The only 4 with issues were slabbed after Jan 30, 2024. Which equals 100% of regular comics I have/purchased that were graded/disabled in 2024. While CGC Customer Service was very professional and a true pleasure to deal with, I've still not received the return address label promised. @CGC Mike if you are permitted to step in I'd like to share my ticket # with you via PM "The Four" grading dates: Jan 31 2024 = 2 Mar 14 2024 = 1 June 12 2024 = 1
  8. With the Newport Beach folks and their very deep pockets approaching, now is the time for CGC to step up it's overall game especially quality control. Now is not the time to practice the Ostrich method! As was pointed out earlier in this thread Oreo's were the upstart! So too were Lego's and the Big Mac....
  9. Standard MO LCS owner - probably already sold it. Order of least honest physical goods sellers; 1. Comic Shop Owner 2. Trading Card Seller/Dealer 3. Comic Book Dealer 4. Original Comic Book Art Dealer 5. Used Car Sales Person
  10. If you had received a more valuable piece by accident, you can be sure legal action would have at minimum be threatend fron minute 1
  11. Be aware their are some collectors that prefer older slabs . Conversely there are just as many who do not.

  13. Aren't comics meant to be hidden?
  14. The recipient of the art is a Comic Shop Owner, not to say they don't exist but I've never met even a remotely honest one. That includes a friend of mine.
  15. Nothing special or unique or interesting in owning a book with such a huge population in that grade. After all we have someone in this thread that when all is said and done will have 80+ copies...
  16. and Mortimer must of had friends high-up at Marvel as artists on the title received double page rate. 1 check from Marvel 1 from CTW.
  17. Soon to be known among speculators as the "Dazzler #1 Flub!"
  18. Oh well.... It's only DC and it's 2024 so any boost would be tiny and fade fast
  19. Reminds me of the line in Willie, Mickey and The Duke; "and Bobby Bonds can play for anyone"
  20. The first card they graded, the so called McNeil/Gretzky T206 Wagner later on in open court evidence was submiited and convicted felon Bill Maestro admitted to trimming. This was decade ago yet PSA still has no alteration note and the now tainted grade of 8 remains on their public DB. As is often noted on net54 regarding the Newport CA based firm. "The fish stinks from the head down" But yes additional competition is good for customers and often spurs innovation.
  21. PSA as cards go since 2021 ruthlessly maintains their census medians. Reserving highest grades per era for their largest submitting clients. Of course that can't be done until they have a baseline. This means those who use need to get their subs in early and that greggy if he uses them, will eventually make out like a bandit ...
  22. Bronze DC 9.8 and 9.6 Non key of keys, not Adams Batman are in freefall, below 2019 FMV in most cases. I've picked up half a boatload of it from Clink and MCS auctions the past several months!
