Not referring to Punisher 3, it's my guess-timate that more CPV's sit in holders that neglect to note they are than those that have the correct CPV/Canadian designation. The census is inaccurate as whole on them so perhaps there are more CPV #'3s out there?

Well my sole reason for considering going with CGC has been eliminated. My 2 sticker sets, plus all my other Comic Cards will remain in their Card Savers or at a future date be submitted to the folks in Newport CA . CGC trading grading was fun while it lasted, I guess??? Thanks anyhow CGC Lyndsey, your professionalism would have netted CGC my Comic cards related business had it not been for this label change.

That would have eventually permeated the hobby and slowly they would first be considered as good as PSA then eventually better. Changing perception for the good is a 10 year plan to be sure. It's bad long-term business for CGC but the parent company will probably sell them off anyhow before decades end. Congrats to PSA they have won again being more far more strict was CGC's only chance. P.S. On net54 and PSA Forums most, but not all, stories of sending in CGC graded cards resulted in lower grades. I own a mere 2 CGC graded cards both 9.5. On one the centering would make it a PSA9 at best but most likley an 8. The other might be a PSA9 and prior to 2021 it had a punchers chance at 10. I do a lot of PSA submissions and BGS or SGC cross-overs (got to crack it out first!) my hit rate at being correct in my grade estimations I'd guess is around 70% which is pretty good actually. Anyhow PSA maximizes profit for anyone selling a card and now that ain't going to change.

Loosening grading standards will be a huge mistake. Same mistake Beckett and SGC made years back. Once market perception is you are less strict than PSA you will never truly compete with them. PSA has become much more strict the last 2 years , if CGC has loosened standards then PSA is handed yet another victory. Glad i held off submitting and buying cgc

just a matter of aging out like with stamps. Stamps for most of 20th century was regarded as the largest hobby in not just USA but the entire world. Effects will be slow but eventually only keys or key of keys will be liquid.

Yep! Nothing lasts forever. its plausible that the panemic bubble was the last harrah for comic book bubbles. Please note in a bubble most comics in most segments of the hobby are warm or hot at same time.

Actually from what you have wrote you did have modern collecting fatigue and smartly moved to other segments of the hobby, I think that supports my premise. Many though I feel do not migrate as you did they are now simply leaving the hobby. Especially the younger they are and have only picked up comics thinking they will make easy money like they may have in 2020-early 2022, now they are learning loss on ROI is just as likely as gain.

If slabbed for me personally if the outer covers has a lower grade than the inner I have zero interest. The reason is why pay 9.6 money for a comic that displays as 9.4, 9.2 or lower? My opinion is multi-covered books are of interest to a subset of collectors.

Sellers with true business acumen adapt and will be fine. But you have some sellers right here on this forum who somehow do not believe cash flow is a good thing. I am a Freedom Fighters fan but no way I'd spend good money on Dollman. I too would allocate towards something similar to Hulk 181. Still due to tiny quantity of GA Dollman, pun intended, the interest can be still lowish for it to still command fair coin, for a while anyhow. PSA's parent firm owns Goldin Auctions so very suprising CGC on their home page in effect is providing free advertusing for them! Yet in these forums displaying a cbcs slab is decried forbidden. Highly incongruent...
