  1. I stay on top of these markets pretty well, and IMO there will be softening of the GA/SA dreck market, but I see continued growth in mid to high grade as a hedge against inflation. Summer and beyond should be quite the ride once the majority realize they'll have to wait in a long line for their bread and cheese rationing. Rich will remain mostly rich and continue to invest in collectables. Of course though, I don't give financial advice
  2. grew up collecting in mid to late 70's and like NerV, I feel bad for the guys that have to grow up not being able to have the experiences that we had. Civilization is definitely headed in the wrong direction but I think GA comics will always draw a crowd
  3. well, as a famous Marx once said..."I Don’t Want to Belong to Any Club That would Accept Me as a member"
  4. payback is gonna be a painful wake up call for low income folk. Fall will be a real ball buster
  5. no doubt once made available for the public, some of these will magically walk away also like to puch that guy in the 2nd video the way hes ruining that book
  6. added another earlier in the year and got a nice little write up on it https://www.antiquestradegazette.com/print-edition/2022/march/2534/feature/two-quality-collections-stand-to-attention-at-thomas-del-mar-auction/ at present this is the only known example. Yes, even in this market i am still adding to my GA collection as well
  7. although i think theres still lots to chose in that area if you can find them, but I find Cosmo cat #1 ahead of its time for 1946 standards in cover art. While it'll probably never be a 1000.00 book, i'm drawn to the cover and ironically i just finally got it slab. Pretty tough book to find IMO
  8. oddly enough this is happening to me now. Sold home, moved this past weekend and i changed my address with cgc well in advance, but my books are still being delivered to my old address today via fedex. When i called cgc the woman basically couldnt give 2 chits and it was a too bad so sad type of response
  9. USPS arrived today at CGC 9505513420872094277112 Forgot to write EX on box. Do u think this will be lost in the shuffle now?
  10. well, shipped today and came back 6.0 OFF-WHITE TO WHITE.
  11. classic covers denoted by CGC are simply money boosters and very subjective. Take black cat 50....looks like a 10 year old drew the cover yet it commands top dollar on the market or weird tales of the future 8...really simplistic art yet most go gaga over it or dare I throw out Crime Suspenstories 22! Now there's a highly over rated cover just because her head is cut off. I prefer art to subject matter but one mans trash is another mans treasure, but in the end if CGC says its classic, i guess that's all that matters
  12. point taken. Just a bad habit i picked up years ago. If it is indeed a "rare' item, I'm sure a buyer can determine that on their own
