  1. There’s the $5.9K sale on eBay, and the $6.5K sale on Clink on Tuesday. The days of getting this book for $5K are over.
  2. There are none on eBay for $5K. Cheapest copy available is $7.5K
  3. Where have you seen 9.8’s for $5K? I’ll gladly buy them
  4. A 9.8 white pages just sold on eBay for $5.9K. This sale, in addition to yesterday’s clink sale of $6.5K indicates the bar has moved upwards again. The $5K plateau that lasted these past few months has lifted. Look for continued higher prices in the short term. 🚀
  5. PM sent. yes, hoping tomorrow will be another successful day for me, too. Going after three pieces.
  6. Today marks my first win on HA Platinum day and I’m very happy with my purchase. 😎
  7. Grading is very harsh presently. I would hold off on submitting
  8. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can forget about paying $5K for a 9.8 ... it’s more like $6K now.
  9. A while back, a few folks were looking for Suicide Squad pages from the 1st series. I thought I'd help by pointing out there is a Splash page from issue 36. featuring Jack Kirby's "The Forever People" on the opening title page. I do not own the page. Here is a link to the page at auction, which ends Saturday, Apr 3rd. John K. Snyder and Geof Isherwood Suicide Squad #36 Splash Page 1 | Lot #95277 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com)
  10. Outside of the movies, its not that difficult to figure out where the popularity and money goes regarding comics publishing. Keeping it simple, we have three universes of titles: 1. Spider-verse 2. Venom-verse 3. Bat-verse Will ASM 300 decrease in value? It already did, just prior to covid and once again in Dec 2020/Jan 2021, but recovered quickly both times. Will it drop again? Probably, but most likely for a short window of opportunity in its path ever upwards.
  11. Look, if a 9.8 white pages consistently sells for $5K in all venues (ebay and other auction sites, conventions, private sales, etc), then what are you willing to pay for it? Rinse, lather, and repeat for 9.6 (assume $2.1K), and 9.4 (assume $1.1K) If you're looking for a deal on a public forum, then I wish you the best of luck!
  12. Live bidding begins this Thursday, with the remainder of the auction running over the Easter/end of Passover weekend. Timing is a bit odd, but who knows, it may present a good opportunity for bidders to snag something for less.
  13. Somebody’s doing some deep sea fishing! 😂
  14. As if these prices aren’t jarring enough, the 9.4 that sold for 8.5K didn’t even have white pages!
  15. Wow, hard to believe its been a week since someone last commented on the HA Signature Auction. Live bidding starts in just over a week and there's some strong prices already and some pieces flying completely under the radar (well, in today's crazy market, just to be subjective). I limited myself to three examples per category. Let's discuss these, and any others you'd like to bring forth: Strong Prices Biz Lobo 1 cover. I think some posts on this thread have estimated around 90K+. It doesn't seem unrealistic given some recent sales examples. This one's already at $63K and it may see a flurry of activity during live bidding. Ditko ASM #8 page. $44.4K is the current high bid for this page which is essentially a character page with Peter and his classmates...except for panel 6, which features the half Peter/half Spiderman spidey sense image. This issue does not introduce any villains per se, so the high bid seems kind of strong already Stevens Aliens Worlds #2 cover. Already at $81K. what's the over/under this will break $100K? I absolutely love Stevens' work and I think this is a wonderful cover. I just wish I had deeper pockets. Totally Under the Radar Gieger Hulk 332 cover. Not 1, but 2 Hulks in battle, plus the Leader. A few hundred bucks to clean the cover and its as good as brand new. Current high bid is $1K. Yup, just $1K for what is arguably a $20K+ cover Moldoff 'Tec #314 splash. Great full page splash by Moldoff featuring Batman and Robin for only $1.7K? Say it ain't so. Sale Superior Spiderman #31 cover featuring Spidey, Captain America and Electro. Great characters & great image makes for a great cover, especially when its only $1K. Thoughts?
  16. Too low, especially for issue 50, which was kinda special
  17. I kind of agree with you...the market WAS overrun with copies available for sale, and you could have purchased an ASM 252 CGC 9.8 direct or newsstand for $450. But as folks started to snap up copies, prices started to climb, and as you can see by various sites today, there aren't as many 9.8's available as there used to be. And the price that people are willing to pay/compete for a copy has skyrocketed. So yes, you may be able to get them whenever, but its a matter of how much you're going to have to pay for a copy the longer you delay.
  18. Nice cover! Bagley has been upping his game recently with some very inspired covers.
  19. Great page! Silvestri Wolverine pages turn up for sale frequently, and based on recent sales comps, you should be able to pocket $5K for it ($6K with the juice), if you go the auction route. Good luck!
  20. The 9.8 white pages currently commands a premium of approximately $500-$600 over an ow/w copy
  21. Per GPA, a 9.8 universal direct sold on Oct 27, 2020 for $5750. That’s the current high-water mark...thus far.
  22. It may be a bit early to call it, but recent sales of this book for $3.7K-$3.85K seem to indicate this book has jumped the shark.
