  3. Shipping: All books are either CGC Signature Series Certified or CGC Universal Certified, and shipping is included FREE within North America, ROW we split it. Who wins: The time stamp seals the deal as to who wins, regardless of the form of communication (including PM, or in the thread). If there is an unconditional posted (or communicated) it will trump all negotiations unless we have already both agreed to terms before the was posted. No House Of Shame or Probationary members or any others with a bad reputation of non-payment. Pricing: Although I am open to offers I do try to price as fairly as possible so offers of 25% off my listed prices will not be successful

  8. $1K is the current price for a CGC 9.8 with white pages. its down a bit from 2019 prices, but still a strong book, in high demand. One thing to keep in mind is that while this issue may have had a healthy print run, many copies had the tattoos removed, thereby impacting the total number of available cgc universal 9.8’s.
  9. Indeed, greatest is a very large thing. I haven’t compared Kirby against my favourite artist or group of artists that I hold in higher regard than Kirby. i will say that a great hand or a great leg doesn’t look anything like what Kirby drew. You’ll have to give me that one.
  10. Well, no, not quite. See, he wasn’t the greatest comics painter or the greatest at anatomy. In fact, far from it, but he did have other qualities as an artist that made him the greatest to many. again, I will give the man his props, but To call him the greatest comic book artist doesn’t sit right with me.
  11. I appreciate all of the well wishes that I've received thus far, and I'm please to say the current bid is now $6.9K...still less than I paid for it, and a great deal for the collector or dealer, for someone who wants to keep the issue intact, or sell pages individually. I should note that this auction ends Friday, May 1st. Thanks for looking and good luck to all bidders
  12. At the risk of being stoned to death as an infidel, I disagree. I give Kirby his due for possibly being the fastest comic artist, the one the most ideas, a risk taker, but IMHO his artwork to be crude, jarring, and, well, just plain old ugly.
  13. Geez, haven’t thought about Pinky Lee for decades!
  14. Hi, all: I've consigned one lot for the May Heritage Signature Auction - John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna The Amazing Spider-Man #48 (489) Complete 22-Page Story, published in 2003 (hard to believe its been 17 years already!) The story is written by sci-fi author JMS, and introduces Shathra, another of the 'Spider-totem' villains whose origins and purpose pre-ordain the radioactive Spider-bite that turned Peter Parker into Spiderman. Also appearing in this issue are the mysterious Ezekiel, and the return of MJ! Bidding is currently at $4,900, and here's a direct link to the auction: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/john-romita-jr-and-scott-hanna-the-amazing-spider-man-48-489-complete-22-page-story-original-art-group-of-22-/a/7229-94107.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 Here's a few selected pages from the issue, courtesy of Heritage:
