  1. I purchased $10K worth of art from Albert at full price many years ago and I was able to negotiate free shipping to Canada. thought I did well.
  2. #100 is a classic cover. In fact, it’s one of the best Bronze Age covers. Period. And it’s been a key for some time and is certainly more worthy as a key ASM book than the 1st appearance of Jigsaw or Dr Marla Madison. Folks who prop ASM 161 and 162 as key Bronze Age spideys are living in a fairy tale.
  3. Madame Web? IIRC Stan Lee’s wife, Joan Lee, provided the voice for the character in the 1994 tv cartoon series.
  4. Thanks Matt. hoping you guys can do it...it would be a much better user experience 👍🏻
  5. Here’s a tricky one for the gang...Jim Shooter
  6. All of the working from home and social distancing, and no events to see, things to do has made me succumb to... Boredom bidding! Yup, placed a bunch of bids on items in the May HA Signature auction, just because it was something to do. im sure I won’t win any of the pieces I bid on, but it’s fun being in the lead, for now
  7. yes, its been a while. Dragon Lady also opened a second location very briefly, in Mirvish Village, literally across the street from the Beguiling.
  8. The Snail's second location? Actually, the opposite...it was on the second level of a retail location, and you had to take some steps up (8-10).
  9. Yes, the second Snail store was on Yonge, on the West side of the street. Jimmy is still running Kaos Comics, where he sells comics and sells/rents DVDs
  10. Your list is excellent. My only recommendation is to remove #162.
  11. Actually, has anyone ever bought comics from Yesterday's Heroes? I found that store to be utterly, hopelessly cluttered and disorganized. Snail, Beguiling, and Hairy T are still around. Not sure about Grey Region.
  12. Yes, I remember Unknown Worlds...would always stop by the shop after grabbing some Greek Food on the Danforth with the family. For those who aren't familiar with the area, the store was located in the heart of Toronto's Greek Town. Never bought any back issues from them as they were always slightly pricier than the other downtown Toronto stores. Roy, there was a store on Yonge St, slightly North of Eglinton...it was the 2nd Silver Snail location and was in operation for several years, but less than a decade. Not certain if that's the store you're referring to. Shooting Star...good ol' Jimmy was the owner. After he closed both stores, he moved even further North in Markham and opened another store called Kaos Comics. Very small storefront...if you blink, you'll miss it.
  13. I recently tried to read it again. it is unreadable, but the pictures are pretty!
  14. Significant warehouse find of high grade copies back in the 80’s. There are plenty of high grade copies of this low-demand book to keep prices where they are. its a cool book, but nobody really cares.
  15. Groo would be a top nominee for non-marvel-non-DC mini-series for certain!
  16. I don’t think it would...it’s one story arc spread across three titles...not the same thing as a mini-series, IMHO
  17. Oh, absolutely, but this is more about nostalgia than investment for me. I'm fine if ASM 300 prices fall, I just love the book. Besides, when it comes to comic books, there are few safer bets than ASM, right?
  18. Yes. Sold most of them to pay for university, but I’ve been trying to purchase multiple copies recently with the intention of getting back to 80 copies.
  19. So many good ones: 1. Punisher mini 2. Wolverine min 3. Cloak & Dagger (Leonardi + Austin = ), plus very timely reference to tampering with Tylenol bottles really hit home 4. Black Dragon (Claremont + Bolton)...without a doubt, the most underrated Marvel mini-series ever. Bolton's art is exquisite. 5. X-Men/Alpha Flight
