  1. Yeah, that’s a lot lower than recent sales. HOWEVER, that is a pretty bad press job. It’s especially evident on the back cover scan. Take a look at the larger image and see what I’m talking about. it’s a poor man’s 9.8
  2. If a copper age book sold under 200K copies, they would cancel it.

  4. Two in One #1 is a nice book, but I'd put my money on Marvel Feature #11. Issues 11 and 12 were tryout issues to gauge the Things popularity and whether he can carry a book of his own. The result was 100 issues (and several Annuals) of Marvel Two In One. The Marvel Feature #11 has a killer Romita cover featuring The Thing vs the Hulk, Interior pencils by Starlin and inks by Sinnott. 2in1 #1 had cover pencils by Kane and inks by Romita, with interior pencils by Kane. The cover looks somewhat similar to the Marvel Feature cover.
  5. I see no record for a public sale of DD 189 in 2010. I think you meant to say DD 188. which sold for over $101K in 2010. I think that was a record for a public sale of Miller cover at the time (the DKR #3 splash sold for $448 in 2011). Just so there's no confusion/memory lapses, here's the DD 188 cover that sold for $101K+
  6. Hi, all: I have a few consignments ending on HA tonight as follows: Bagley Venom #164p19 - Claire Dixon captures Venom, and the symbiote is not happy about it. Here's the direct link to the page at auction: Mark Bagley and Scott Hanna Venom #164 Story Page 19 Original Art | Lot #49009 | Heritage Auctions Bagley FF 6p18 featuring the robot everyone loves to hate, HERBIE, along with Sue, Reed, and Johnny, vs Blastaar! 7. 1. Acquire more ASM 300’s in 9.8 with white pages 2. obtain two more ASM 129’s in 9.8 with white pages. Would love to get sig series signed by Lee/Romita Sr/Thomas/Conway 3. Acquire an ASM 238 cgc 9.8 CPV with white pages. They are rare, but I’ve seen a few of them in the wild!
  8. Please clarify: record amount for what? A Miller Wolvie cover or any Miller cover, or were you thinking of something else?
  9. The Wolverine mini series #3 cover? $35K sounds really low for a 2016 sale, even if it was on Clink. Back in 2010, It sold at HA for $48K.
  10. Ending today, folks! Good luck to all bidders
  11. Don’t look now, but The $3.6K Nov sale may have been the trough. December sales trend show prices climbing strongly, with the most recent sale at $4.995K
  12. After a huge fall from grace, and Nov low of $3.6K for a 9.8 blue label with white pages, this book is making a surprising bounce back, with the most recent sale at $4.995K.
  13. Artistic merit means different things to individuals. There are some artists whose artwork you collect and are willing to pay a lot for a page or a cover or what have you. Some of those same artists from your list do absolutely nothing for me, and I have no interest in spending even 1 cent for an example of their work.
  14. Hi, all; I've consigned some nice pages to Heritage, with all auctions ending Wed, Dec 21. I'll provide a brief summary of each page along with a direct link to the page at auction. Mark Bagley Spiderman Life Story #6p13 featuring a killer battle between Miles Morales spiderman vs Peter Parker spiderman. Miles' body is inhabited by Doc Ock, forcing him to strangle ol' Peter Parker. Here's the link to the page at auction: Mark Bagley and Andrew Hennessy Spider-Man: Life Story #6 Story | Lot #48007 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com) Mark Bagley Venom #164p4 splash featuring the return of Claire Dixon (Raze symbiote). Claire's history in the Marvel Universe is a bit complicated, but for those who don't know, Raze was the daughter of Carnage and the symbiote of Claire Dixon. She was recruited into Poison's Symbiote army, possessing Claire. However, Raze was briefly stolen by May Parker, allowing her to rescue Scarlet Spider and Spiderman, and battle Toxin. After Toxin's defeat, May returned the symbiote to Claire. Whew! Here's the link to the page: Mark Bagley and Scott Hanna Venom #164 Story Page 14 Original Art | Lot #48006 | Heritage Auctions Ron Garney Uncanny X-men 424 p4 half splash, with the deathbed confession of Father Whitney to Nightcrawler that he was following the orders of the Church of Humanity. Xmen pages from this era are becoming increasingly difficult to find as pages by Byrne/Cockrum/Smith/Romita Jr/Silvestri/Lee/Mad/Bachalo, etc have priced a lot of collectors out of the market. Jump on this page while you still can afford to do it! 15. Considering it sold on HA in April of this year for $41K, yeah, I agree with you. will have to sell for nearly $50K just for the consignor to break even (discounted consignor fee + tax + shipping cost)
  16. Similar quality pages from 158 and 159 sold for around $4K back in 2016. that’s quite a spike! later Andru ASM pages from ASM 185 have sold for upwards of $23K recently, just to add more info to current sales
  17. The Heath stuff was very interesting to see in this auction because of the sheer number of pages from the late 50's/very early 60's, across multiple titles. Normally, we see Heath Sgt Rock pages at auction from '69-'73 or thereabouts, so this really was a treat. And I agree that given the volume of pages, its difficult to extrapolate value guidance
  18. Looks like HA has added nearly 100 lots over the past few days. Really great stuff!
  19. The Fathom cover is stunning, and worth every penny it went for. I think having so many Turner splashes/dps', etc in the same auction hurt results, similar to all of the Campbell art in this auction. And just like the Campbell pieces, I thought prices on the Turner art was below FMV, with the one exception already mentioned.
