  1. Earlier this morning, I was doing a final review of the Platinum Day auction items that I want to bid on, and I noticed something interesting. There appears to be two 2-hour separations in start times throughout today's auction. The 1st block of items starts in approximately 4.5hrs, followed by a 2-hr stoppage before the 2nd block of items starts, and it does so again for a 3rd time today. Anyone else notice this breakup to the auction day?
  2. I hope you’re right because there are so many pieces I’d love to own, but I suspect BTC and bear market will have little impact to final prices
  3. Only two days before Live bidding starts for Platinum Day, and aside from the DKR cover, barely any noticeable movement in prices. normally, Wed see a bump of 10-20% from the previous week, but it looks like folks are waiting to bid even closer to live date!
  4. I think many dealers will hold back books until prices rise again…I hope you can achieve your collecting goals within the upcoming constraints
  5. yup, this will be a brutal, brutal summer for investors, collectors, and sideline fans.
  6. Pretty funny page with the Shocker robbing a jewelery store after defeating Venom, and the unintended consequences that occur thereafter. Just when you thought this could only happen to Deadpool... Here's the link to the page at auction, which ends Wednesday, June 15th at Heritage: Mark Bagley and Scott Hanna Venom #164 Story Page 10 Original Art | Lot #48009 | Heritage Auctions
  7. Your strategy is reminiscent of riding a horse...backwards
  8. Jim Lee Batman 619 triple cover is at $186K!
  9. What movie or tv show will he be appearing in?
  10. I can't speak to softness in pricing for the Colan Hulk 11 splash, but $9K seems like a fairly strong price considering Colan is not an artist associated with the character. Regarding the $15K asking price by the seller, well, folks can ask whatever they want. Some prices are grounded in reality. Others, not so much. The Sienk Moon Knight pages did not sell low. Based on prior sales results, I would say they went for fair prices in comparison to prior results for similar pages Agreed the Anderson Xmen page went strong Byrne Wolverine #21 cover - never thought it would touch $50K. Maybe $35K at most J.Scott Campbell covers were all over the map, and with only one or two exceptions, sellers lost money Kupperberg Spec Spidey pages...agreed, they went low and were a good deal Perez Back Issue #1 cover went very, very cheap. Congrats to the new owner
  11. The one on HA is an epic battle sequence far more exciting than the clink page, with larger character images than the link page. Additionally, one of the panels is very similar to the cover. Minimum 50% premium
  12. I say this tongue in cheek, but it’s definitely time for you to see an optometrist
  13. Not sure what you’re seeing, but the page on HA was significantly superior to the one on Clink
  14. Be thankful gas is so cheap in the US compared to Canada and Europe
  15. I'm not a fan of clink, but I'll play devils advocate for a moment...The Buscema FF 112 page went for a very strong price, as did the Kubert Wolverine 75 splash and pretty much all of the Romita Jr pieces (actually, they were very strong prices for his work). Bagley prices continued their upwards climb. Grampa continues to impress. Dillin JLA prices have rebounded rather nicely after taking a dive a few years ago.
  16. That's a gorgeous splash, with excellent inking.
  17. Hi, all; Any attend this show? Would love to hear your thoughts about it, and perhaps see a few photos?
  18. I don't know anything about that. If true, then he left a profession of helping people to that of screwing people over
