  1. I don’t think they’ve gained an inch on HA. In fact, it evident they’ve fallen further behind. But that’s what happens when you don’t listen to your customers.
  2. Doesn’t matter what suggestions we make. Clink is set in their ways and won’t make any changes. I called with suggestions several years ago and had a rather lengthy discussion with them. None of the suggestions were implemented. In fact, they countered every suggestion with their own rationale and hence you have the site/auction house that hasn’t changed since. I haven’t used Clink to buy or sell for years, and I don’t miss them at all.
  3. Still so many more lots to go through. I suspect the auction will run for at least another 75 minutes. Very curious to see what the Romita Spidey strips and the Vess Spidey cover end at
  4. What’s the big deal about this result? It’s nowhere near the record for a Romita spidey Sunday
  5. Last day of the auction today. Based on current bids, many lots need to quadruple in price just to hit FMV. Maybe today is the day for value shopping
  6. Found it: http://www.jhalpe.com/items/index/search:category;Comic Art
  7. Yes, besides his CAF gallery, his collection was featured on a more rudimentary website. I wish I had bookmarked it
  8. I thought Jim shared a link to his OA collection. I remember seeing it around 5 years ago
  9. Given final hammer prices for Jim Lee Xmen stuff, I wonder what an equally nice McSpidey page would go for these days? perhaps we can convince owners to put up a piece at the June HA auction?
  10. The asm 219 cover wouldn’t have ended as high if I didn’t throw in some punishment bids 😉
  11. The toning really shouldn’t be a deterrent to bidders because it’s quite inexpensive these days to remove toning
  12. Tried to appreciate Kirby art for decades, but ultimately it’s too crude and ugly for me.
  13. Not disappointed at all. And I agree its an insane price, but then again, I am not a fan of Kirby art so I am biased
  14. I don't keep very close track of J Buscema prices, but with the exception of the What If #1 cover, prices for his stuff seemed a bit light to me. I also thought the Byrne Xmen 137 page and the Cockrum X-Men 106 cover were soft given today's OA market. Thoughts?
  15. Should be a bit of a run up today, so n advance of the craziness that’s sure to ensue tomorrow!
  16. Prices at Metropolis always seem to be “Leveling Up”
