  1. Sorry, Harley Quinn 25. This garbage is somehow a ‘classic cover’
  2. I think the most recent comic to have a classic cover designation, and undeservedly so, is Harley Quinn 26. there are sooooo many covers far more deserving, such as ASM 50, 100, Wonder Woman 199 (Jeff Jones), batman 400, etc
  3. I’m not knocking Elfquest, but I’ve never known anyone who read or collected any of it. So yes, extremely surprised by this result.
  4. The sandman special #1(Orpheus) was the first Sandman book that I purchased. I was immediately hooked and went to a half dozen comic stores to pick up all of the back issues I could find (pre-ebay). The thrill of the hunt was almost as much fun as reading the comics. this led to my spending way too much money on the Sandman bronze statue. 😂
  5. True. My 1st post in this thread is a very summarized version of why I want 80 copies. I’ll expand on it when I have more time 👍🏻
  6. Bidding is open. good luck to all!
  7. Will do…just remind me in Feb/Mar, in case I forget
  8. Just a correction…my goal is 80 copies, and I’m at 54 now (maybe 55? It’s been so long since the most recent copies were submitted to CGC for grading) However, I had to hit the pause button on my ASM 300 purchases because I was able to strike a deal on a piece of OA that I’ve wanted for some time. The seller and I worked out a time payment plan and I still have several months to go before the artwork is mine. for me, OA is a one of a kind item that will always take precedence over comic books so I likely won’t be acquiring additional copies until the new year (unless they arrive via trade) 👍🏻
  9. Doesn’t change the fact that my point is valid. One person can go after the the market, especially with it being so small
  10. Nope, all you need is one seller to set the minimum price at auction (or elsewhere), and one buyer to bite at a ridiculously high price. As reference, the the asm 298-300 CGC 9.9 set on eBay for $350K. If you want it, that’s the price of admission
  11. That’s not true. Multiple players are not required. All it takes is one guy with funds to corner the market.

  13. Morrison = Copper Age. We’re talking Bronze Age here. again, without Wein, there wouldn’t be an x-title for Claremont to write or Wolvie mini series to establish the character moreso. It all starts with Wein!
